Do you remember a #1 country hit and #70 Billboard Hot 100 pop hit for Brenda Lee in 1973 called "Nobody Wins"?

It's nice enough, but it's nothing special. To me, this strikes me as an attempt to basically get an "I'm Sorry" style hit in the country market since she had rebranded herself by this point. Then again, it clearly worked since it bagged her her first top ten country hit, and her delivery does come across as sincere, so I can't deny that it was a good move commercially and perhaps even artistically.
I generally prefer '50s and '60s Brenda Lee. My favorites from what I know of her country period are "Big Four Poster Bed" and "Always On My Mind" (her rendition of which, incidentally, is the little-known original). Admittedly, I don't know her later works as well as her first couple decades in the business, so I could very well be missing out on some of the greatness of her time as a country charter.
EDIT: By the way, Brenda Lee never had a #1 country hit on Billboard's chart. This one topped out at #5, which still makes it her second best peak on that chart. "Big Four Poster Bed" is the only one to top it, peaking at big #4.
