Dropped:
#20: Pure/Superchick
When I found out there was one debut I was thinking that maybe, just maybe Salvador had fallen out. That hope was rather short-lived, though, as it moves back up a spot to number 16. Oh well, it has to fall off sooner or later. Let's just hope it's sooner!
The chart longevity champ is still hanging around in the Top Ten. While it's too early to tell whether or not they'll break the 40-something week record set by MercyMe's "Word Of God Speak", it does have a chance, as it is well inside the Top Ten in its 30th week. However, Casting Crowns does have a new song out (though I don't see it anywhere on the charts, I have heard it several times on WFRN) and, if it hits the chart, one of two things will happen: its airplay will either make "Voice Of Truth" fall fast or it will suffer recurrentitis from "Voice Of Truth". Seems to me that Tree63 experienced the latter situation this past fall.
Jeremy Camp still holds onto the top spot with his latest song, for the tenth week in a row. It's hard to tell what will happen next week, as nearly every song in the Top Ten is standing still. But whatever happens, "Take You Back" is going to be one of the year's biggest hits.
