Do you remember a 1972 song by Nilsson called "Jump Into the Fire"? I heard this song on the recent May 6, 1972 AT40 rebroadcast on AT40: The 70's. This song sounds like it should have been a later years Beatles record around the 1971-1972 time if the Fab Four haven't broken up in 1970!

Oh my goodness, do I! I've known Nilsson practically from the womb and 'Jump Into The Fire' has always been a favorite. My family sings Nilsson on car trips. :)
A bit of trivia, if you don't already know: When the Beatles first came to America, reporters asked them what their favorite American band was and they answered Harry Nilsson. Nobody knew who they were talking about and, after a bit of research, Harry began receiving calls at his office asking when he'd be doing a concert and had to tell people that he didn't do concerts. He was a songwriter/album artist, but suffered too greatly from stage fright to really be a live performer.
Harry developed close friendships with both John Lennon and Ringo Starr. In fact, Harry and John did an album together called 'Pussy Cats', with John producing.
