It's true. Look at the nominees list and you'll see there's no reason why he should have won that award. I guess I'm in the minority that's surprised. I know there is a lot of behind the scenes politics with awards shows and celebs but I thought it was more along the lines of Award shows giving stuff to artists who showed up, who were popular, etc etc. Not flat out PAYING for awards. THIS! I highly doubt he bought this Grammy. That child does not the coins to bribe anyone. I can't stand Chris but I have always recognized his hustle if nothing else. Dude has worked HARD to stay relevant after The Incident and he's constantly putting himself out there. Not to mention, he might still have a little something stacked up from when he used to have endorsements. I wouldn't doubt he had the money. Now whether or not he's been eating mayonnaise sandwiches for the past six months because of it, I cannot say Also, the others may not have cared enough to 'buy' it this year, making it easier for Chris to get in a successful bid. Again, ~if~ this is true. It's so true. I totally believe it.Absolutely agree. Over the years I have found myself occasionally thinking about the fact that the US music industry basically has no 'respectable' awards shows or critics lists, whereas acting has several well respected accolades (even if one doesn't win an Academy, Emmys, Golden Globes, SAGs, etc. all carry some prestige to them). Even before this the Grammys had dipped in prestige, but it was the last thing we had left. If this is true music basically has nothing. It's pretty disillusioning.

Grow some common sense people. There are hundreds, if not thousands, of members voting for the Grammy. The president isn't the one selecting the winner.

Unless the winning ballot passes through the hands of each voting member to confirm, the prospect of whoever does the counting and oversees the process doing some cheating is there. I assume that it what is being accused of here.

PricewaterhouseCoopers audits the votes, they've been doing it for a long time now, I believe.

and the Grammy's have lost credibility. Did it take this to make you realize this for the first time?

and the Grammy's have lost credibility. Did it take this to make you realize this for the first time? When they shafted Amy winehouse from sweeping the grammy's to become the first female to get 6 grammy's in one night...I checked out and lost any credibility for the Schmammy's.

Not surprised if this is indeed true, I've always assumed that this would happen, not only with him, but with other acts and awards as well.

I don't believe it. Voters felt Chris Brown had a better album and thats why he won. Plus there are accounting companies who audit these things as a standard practice. People need to be careful of who they accuse of doing what because they could be making more accusations than they realize.

I can't believe you're gonna sit there, with a straight face, that Chris brown had the better album. Over R. Kelly? Over Ledisi? GTFOH

It is more amusing to me that people genuinely think an awards show like this couldn't possibly EVER be rigged lol.
