What could be more classic than the song that brought Britney into the world of pop?? :'( Its listing on Wikipedia for her singles discography couldn't be any more perfect: "1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1" :'( That would be #1 in the US, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, New Zealand, Sweden, Switzerland, and the UK. :'( :'( :'(

This song is pretty much bubblegum pop perfected. Enough said. :'(

#15: "Boys"
Another song that should be Pulse's theme song. (See Boys, Boys, Boys in my Gaga thread. :))
The sixth and final single from Britney. On the album as a solo track, a remix featuring Pharrell was released as the official single.
I like the original quite a bit. However, I really like the remix as well. Although he is singing about girls, not boys. Meh. Overall a good song, though. :)
This pretty much flopped, though. It did decent/well in a few countries but not too great overall. A shame. :(

#14: "Till the World Ends"The 2nd single from Femme Fatale. It just so happens to be my 2nd favorite from that album as well! I think the worst part about this song, imo, is the heavy repetition of the chorus. The "Whoa-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh" part gets pretty tiring after a while. It performed pretty well, reaching #3 in the US (thanks to Ke$ha (in more ways than one) and Nicki Minaj ;)) and did pretty well around the world, too. :) Up next: Cuckoo. :)

#13: "(You Drive Me) Crazy"
The third single from Britney's debut album. It performed quite well, reaching #10 in the US, and #4 on US Pop. It hit top 10 on most big countries, as well.
I really like this song. Another classic of hers. :'( I especially like the... cowbell? Idk lol whatever it is, I like it. I also like the random guitar solo LOL.

#12: "Overprotected"The 2nd Britney single. Flopped hardcore in the US, performed ok in many other countries, and reached #2 in Sweden and #4 in the UK. I feel like this song is so true right now... Idk what to say other than it's a delicious song. :) Up next: less. ;)

#11: "Gimme More"The lead single from Blackout. It was pretty much top 10 in all the main markets. :) Hit #3 in the US, too. :) A very good comeback song. Should have hit #1, but alas. (So should have the album. Idk what the controversy was, exactly...) Top 10 tomorrow! The song: one. :)

It also happened to be her 3rd #1 single in the US! :O Who hasn't dreamt of a threesome with Britney?? ;) What can I say... I just love this song. So catchy and fun. #8: "Circus"The second single from Circus. Peaked at #3 in the US, and did pretty well elsewhere as well. :) This song is practically pop perfection. A Dr. Luke single, which we have all too much of lately, but that doesn't affect how much I love it. :) Such a great song. Another should-be #1. :'( Up next: OIDIA single. :)

Amazing song, as you'd expect from a Blackout single. Just totally flawless throughout. This received a lot of airplay here in 2008, but I haven't heard it since, unfortunately. #16: "...Baby One More Time" AMAZING song. One of her very best. Definitely should be much higher than #16. Just flawless pop perfection throughout. Enough said. I don't know it. #14: "Till the World Ends" So overrated. My least favorite of the Femme Fatale singles. It's not a bad song, and I can obviously understand the appeal in it, but it just never really clicked for me. #13: "(You Drive Me) Crazy" I like this one. Fun and catchy generic pop production. Not exactly a real favorite of mine, but not bad. I think #13 is a good ranking for it. I don't know it. Love this song. The Blackout singles really were amazing. I wish this was a bigger hit. Idk what the controversy was, exactly... If you're referring to the controversy with Blackout missing #1, I believe Billboard made a change that week allowing albums exclusive to a specific retailer to chart, and Blackout missed #1 to some Target or Wal-Mart exclusive album. I think. Nice choice! I don't think I'd rank it in the Top 10 myself, but it's a good, catchy, fun song and I enjoy it. Who hasn't dreamt of a threesome with Britney? Me. Another classic. :) The sound at the beginning (a fog horn?), didn't we say it sounds just like something on a very recent song? I can't recall what song, though.
A really good song. Did decently everywhere. Almost top 10 in the US. Produced by Max Martin! I didn't know he was producing for so long lol. I read he did NSYNC and stuff too. Wow lol.
Up next: Another classic, from the OIDIA album. :)

#6: "Oops!...I Did It Again"Another true Britney classic. :) It's just so good. :'( I remember as a kid I never was able to see the video, just little clips of it in commercials and stuff. I think after waiting forever I was finally able to watch it, though. Seriously that almost scarred me for life. Britney sure loves her Max Martin, though!! :O It only peaked at #9 in the US, but reached #1 on US Pop. Lack of sales really hurt the song, but it sure helped to sell the album! A fair trade, imo. It reached #1 in several other countries, so was a big success overall. Up next: Top 5!! Kinda wish I could move my #5 to lower (idk why it's quite so high. Maybe top 10.) It's from Circus.
