"Somethin' Bad" - Miranda Lambert & Carrie Underwood Not that this was bad (and I like this song), but I kind of expected more from these excellent singers... The music video was great though.

Britney & Iggy's duet. Poor trash. It's my least fave single form Britney... ever. Radar is even better.

The first that came to my mind was "Can't Remember To Forget You". It's definitely grown on me though. Another one is "Bang Bang" (Jessie/Ari/Nicki) which I hated at first because my expectations where too high. I love it now. Finally, "Numb" by Rihanna Featuring Eminem. That song is a disaster smh

"Beautiful Liar" instantly came to mind. "Somethin' Bad" - Miranda Lambert & Carrie Underwood Not that this was bad (and I like this song), but I kind of expected more from these excellent singers... The music video was great though. It was a pretty bad track.

I know a few people liked it but to me the Brandy and Monica latest duet was a DUD. That was one of the bigger let downs for collabo's.

Bringing this thread back for some updates.
- "ME!" by Taylor Swift and Brendon Urie from Panic! At The Disco: very underwhelming lyrically compared to Taylor's standards (even for a bubblegum pop song) and Brendon kind of seems to hold back his full vocal force and theatricality. It just wasn't the best song to showcase their talents and, controversially, the bridge and final chorus are the only parts where I really feel the magic their duet deserved to have (alongside their captivating live performances, obviously)
- "Swish Swish" by Katy Perry and Nicki Minaj: their cover of "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" back in 2010 was pure joy, and it was clear the two worked extremely well together. We've waited so long for this collaboration only for it to be an immense disappointment and one of the most embarrassing songs from Katy's career. Such a shame, really.
- "borderline" by Ariana Grande and Missy Elliot: I don't mind this song as much as some fans do, but Missy's verse felt lacklustre and it was just missed potential given the names attached. This should have been so much better.
- "I Don't Care" by Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber: "Love Yourself" and "Cold Water" showed just how much Ed Sheeran's writing style fitted Justin's voice like a glove, and yet he sanitized his skills in one of the most uninspired songs of his career. The idea of making this song a duet didn't work at all, and the premise was much better executed on the same album (*coughs "Beautiful People"). Unlike many folks here, I don't hate this song at all, but I was definitely expecting much more.

That massive Earth collab could’ve been legendary if Lil Dicky wasn’t such a fucking crackhead

Definitely "When You Believe" - given the two epic voices singing, I expected an even more epic song. I initially thought this, too, but it has aged really well.

"I Don't Care" (Ed Sheeran & Justin Bieber): I didn't think an Ed Sheeran & Justin Bieber collab would be THIS mediocre.

That massive Earth collab could’ve been legendary if Lil Dicky wasn’t such a f**king crackhead To think we had Ariana Grande, Brendon Urie, Ed Sheeran, Charlie Puth, Sia, Miguel, and John Legend on the same song and none of them were able to save it from being an utter, embarrassing disaster. There was so much star power on that collaboration for it to be wasted on pathetic middle school humour. 🤦🏻♀️

Mariah & John Legend
#Beautiful
I never thought it was a great song to begin with. It's one of my least fave singles she has ever put out.

Bruno Mars & Cardi B.- Please Me. They collaborated together before with "Finesse", and that was great. So how on earth did their second collaboration produce this phoned in trainwreck?
