In the strongest top five in a while, Chris Brown jumps from #6 to #1 with "Don't Wake Me Up", scoring his first #1 and the 62nd chart-topper in history. Bruno Mars gets his third top ten hit with "Locked Out Of Heaven" moving three to #10, following "Grenade" (#1) and "Just The Way You Are (#2), and Delta falls down to #11, ending her 16 weeks in the top ten (tied for seventh most ever). At the other end of the chart we lose two #1 hits this week: "Part Of Me", after 36 weeks on the chart, and "Domino" after 56 weeks, just one week short of matching "Somebody That I Used To Know" for the second most weeks ever. It's a very strong chart this week, with 64% of the songs bulleted and five new debuts. The top two remains steady from last week, but "Locked Out Of Heaven" is catching up with a seven-spot climb to #3, and "This Kiss" is just behind, up three to #4. "Spectrum (Say My Name)" is back in the top ten after reaching #9 back in August, pushing "Skyfall" down to #11. At the lower end of the chart, Taylor Swift is in with her new country single "Begin Again", and Leona Lewis' "Trouble" debuts, her first entry since the #1 hit "Collide". "What Makes You Beautiful" cracks 52 weeks (one year).

It's another close race for #1, but "Don't Wake Me Up" takes it out for a third week. Sorry y'all. Meanwhile, "This Kiss" is up to #2 becoming her equal highest charter alongside "Good Time", and it looks like P!nk's number one streak may be over as "Try" falls from #2 to #4. "Diamonds" climbs #21 to #9 giving Rihanna her 14th top ten hit, and that's only dating back to December 2009 when my chart began. Her top ten hits are: "Hard" (#1), "What's My Name?" (#1), "Love The Way You Lie (Part II)" (#2), "Only Girl (In The World)" (#2), "S&M" (#2), "Rude Boy" (#3), "Photographs" (#3), "Talk That Talk" (#3), "We Found Love" (#4), "Te Amo" (#5), "You Da One" (#7), "Where Have You Been" (#7), "Cheers (Drink To That)" (#8) and now "Diamonds" (#9). Note: "Photographs" and "Love The Way You Lie (Part II)" would not have charted under my current rules only permitting singles, but I've chosen to leave them in her discography since they both had decent chart runs. "Unfaithful" also briefly charted for me in 2010 peaking at #10, but I've omitted that one since it didn't have a proper chart run and was four years old at that point. /unnecessary information

"Va Va Voom" debuts at #22 this week. It's not as high as her #12 and #17 entries for "Starships" and "Pound The Alarm" respectively, but it's still the highest debut since October 7. I wonder if her next single will enter at #27. Four top ten hits fall off this week, including "Call Me Maybe", which spent 37 weeks on the chart despite only reaching #3. "We Are Young" hits 38 weeks, tying it with "Tonight Tonight" as the second most weeks on for a non-top five hit, behind "Titanium" (#11 peak, 51 weeks).
