The lead singles from Mariah's past 4 albums all topped the club play chart. Will this follow suit and become Mariah's 16th song to top that chart?
Mariah was in the studio recently with Dave Morales, but it's unclear what they were working on.
The title alone makes me excited for some hot dance mixes. I think Mariah's dance remixes over the past decade have been pretty lackluster for the most part though. She rarely records new vocals for her remixes anymore, and the remixers she works with aren't nearly as adventurous as her 90s remix collaborators.

There's going to be a resung dance remix, or at least there was at one point. I just hope it's with someone as good as Morales.

David Morales hasn't done that many remixes in recent years and when he does, sometimes they are really hit or miss as he has moved away from that melodic classic house sound and more into the "pots and pans" sounds that some people like Peter Rauhofer were doing 8-10 years ago. He did release a new artist album a few weeks back that features vocals by Janice Robinson (of Livin' Joy), Ultra Nate, Tamra Keenan, Polina, Jonathan Mendelsohn and Roisin Murphy that had a sound that was overall more in line with what he used to do but within a modern context.
Given that she is on Island Def Jam, I would expect to see the same names we have seen for the recent Justin Bieber, Rihanna, and Taio Cruz remix packages.

Some of their remixes are fine, but there are a lot of fans who could probably do better with garage band. I hope the re-recorded dance vocals will be sent to various producers. |

I really love the Throwback mix too. I do wish there was more of a proper vocal bridge even though I love the buildup using her ad libs and whistle notes.
There's another mix being streamed on Mariah's website called the Pulse Club Mix. (http://mariahcarey.com) I like this one too.

I will never understand the love affair Mariah has with the Jump Smokers. Anyone else remember that largely shit remix album they produced that the label scrapped? Good times. I'm assuming/hoping additional remixes are coming; Most likely, yes, but this is over a decade late if it was hoping for a rework suited to it's sound. |

Her remixes this time are better than those of Obsessed and I Want To Know What Love Is. Personally still think Vintage is the best because the build up and break down are nicely done. Pulse got a great beat, but i don't like its break down. Danny Verde and Iberican are great choices, but I don't enjoy Laidback Luke much as his mixes usually sound kinda messy.

They're not very well known, but I think I'd love it if Designer Drugs did a remix for Triumphant. I really liked the remix they did for I'll Be Lovin You Long Time.
