tbh 2000 and 2003 were also good but not as good as 1999

wasnt a fan of most of this. LOVED pink though. taylor was good too. wish one direction did something a little more exciting.

Beyonce won best Editing yay!! And Katy won one :) And WFL got Best Video <3 Gotye, FUN, and Carl snubbed lol! OD winning, and it looks like Bieber Fever was punched in the face by the Cbrowner's :x

They just didn't pull in enough big names for this, this year. As previously mentioned, with no Beyoncé or Gaga, the show just LACKS a real superstar performance.
Next year should be great though. With new albums coming from Bey, Gaga, Kanye and Jay-Z(to name a few), they should bring the show back home to NY next year and deliver with another epic show like they have in the past.
Kevin Hart was WITHOUT A DOUBT the best part of this show this year.

Frank and Pink were the only real standout performers tonight imo, but still I think it was a pretty good show thanks to Kevin Hart's hosting. This year didn't really have any big moments, MTV just kept primping Rihanna and Katy Perry throughout the whole show since I guess they were the biggest stars there.

I prefer the show when it's in NYC for some reason...still have not watched it, will wait for the 12AM showing.

Not feeling RiRi's lesbian cut but her and Katy were the stars of the show(from their seats) :) But they just don't bring the star power(or performance power)as Beyonce, Britney, GaGa. Taylor by far had the best performance. It was cute, she looked sexy and her vocals were on point. She killed it.
Rihanna was the worst. Just horrible and that note she tried to hit at the end, lol.

Overall, it was a great show that kept me entertained and there at least weren't any trainwreck performances. The problem with it was the lack of an EVENT performance or moment. This just seemed to lack something the last 3 had. It was still miles better than the 2007 one, yikes.

So far I've liked all of the performances (Rihanna, P!nk, and Frank Ocean), except I didn't pay too much attention to One Direction and I don't really care for 2Chainz either.
This year's show is definitely missing something, but I think we have already come to the conclusion...an event performance.

Finally caught up w/things on my DVR. Yeah, it was a mediocre show, although I personally think Kevin Hart himself was the highlight of the night. And no Carly? Now I'm just sad. It's too bad millions of teenage girls crushing on five guys can trump three guys on this forum crushing on one girl. At least she'll have better luck at the AMAs in a couple of months. Not to mention, the MuchMusic Video Awards were better. And I'm a Yank!

The show wa decent overall, my girl Alicia was off, Pink is always good on stage and Taylor and Fran Oceans pretty much as expected they did their thing, I wont name names but i think that if you dont have great decent vocals you should atleast have stage presence or not be so damn boring on stage performance after performance, entertainer my ass  |
