Now that I think about it, a lot of popular CHR gold songs all came from 1999. But the thing about it is most of those songs peaked relatively low and spent a long time on the chart (most didn't even make top 20). These include: Shaggy f/ Janet - Luv Me, Luv Me Lit - My Own Worst Enemy Jay-Z f/ Amil & Ja - Can I Get A... Vengaboys - We Like to Party! Lauryn Hill - Doo Wop (That Thing)
I was wondering if these songs were played so much, what prevented them from going any higher if some of them still get played today? (I really mean it, my CHR still plays My Own Worst Enemy occasionally)

2 of the stations here still play "My Own Worst Enemy."

I still hear Ginuwine's So Anxious on Urban stations atleast once a day lol
