Week of 08-26-2012"Good Time" finally arrives at the summit, where I suspect it will have a nice run at the top. CRJ is starting to slay my charts. She is the first artist to have 2 #1 songs! "Mercy" and "I Told You So" each move up one spot to make the top 3, while "Settle Down" enters the top 5 at #5. "One More Night" debuts at #38, and "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" debuts at #39. Week of 09-02-2012A very interesting week! Just a few days ago No Doubt's new song was premiered, and I have played it PLENTY of times since then. It is definitely deserving of its title as 1st #1 debut on my chart. Unfortunately for Owl City and Carly Rae Jepsen, this means "Good Time" has been pushed back to #2. I definitely saw them getting at least a couple more weeks at #1 last week, but at this point it's up in the air if they will even get another week at the summit... "I Told You So" holds steady at #3, while "Pound the Alarm" makes its way into the top 5 at #5. Will it have enough stamina to make it to #1, or will it be affected by possibly stalling and peaking on radio (better not be ) and the fact that I spammed the hell out of this when the album first came out? Only time will tell. Along with "I Told You So," Karmin has another song in the top 10 this week, as "Hello" breaks into the top 10 at #9. Also flying into the top 10 is The Cataracs with "Cantaloupe" at #7. Down at #40 is the other debuting song of the week, Carrie Underwood's "Blown Away." Dropping off the chart to accommodate the two new songs are One Direction's "Stole My Heart" and Madonna's "I'm Addicted." LW TW PP WOCne 01 01 001 “Push and Shove” No Doubt feat. P!nk falling wasn't due to me being over the song, it was more due to big movement near the top. She stayed about even for how I like her. She should move up at least a couple positions next week, I would imagine.
Unless we get new Ke$ha, Gaga, Rihanna, etc. Which very well could happen, you never know. Lol.
Do you like the No Doubt songs, Slizzard? Idk how you feel about them lol.

Have you lost count on how many spins it took 'P&S' to debut at #1?

Have you lost count on how many spins it took 'P&S' to debut at #1? Huh? I don't base my chart on plays per week, just I order them how I'm feeling about them. Lol. I think I've played it nearly 20 times, though. Easily the most this week.

Do you like the No Doubt songs, Slizzard? Idk how you feel about them lol. "Settle Down" is boring and average and goes nowhere and is unnecessarily lengthy and so on. I haven't heard the new one and have no interest in doing so.

What about old No Doubt did you like any of that? Just curious. The new one is really good. I like how they use pretty basic music techniques, but stuff that is not in pop/hip hop at all. Like half time, triplets, etc. Makes me excited as a band geek. Lol.

Week of 09-09-2012This week, No Doubt stays at #1 for a 2nd week. "Settle Down" falls 3 positions from 6 to 9, most likely having peaked. With the new album coming out in a couple weeks, look for a few songs to possibly start charting. "Good Time" holds at #2 for a 2nd week. Another week or more at #1 is still not out of the question at this point. "Good Time" rose to #1 on my 2012 year-end chart this week, using an inverse point system. Will it stay there or be replaced by the end of the year? Look for my 2012 postings come early 2013! :) I will have to decide how to do things: do I use a points system or just judge things, since I didn't chart the beginning of the year... Things to think about for me. "Pound the Alarm" rises a spot to #4, while "I Told You So" falls 2 spots to #5. Karmin say they will have a new album out hopefully in November so I'm excited for that, and will probably chart new music from them at that time. "Call Me Maybe" enters the top 10 again, showing great longevity. It will place very well on my 2012 chart, possibly even #1 depending how I go about composing the chart. Lower in the chart we have "I Am Your Leader," a former #1 song, rise 5 spots to #21. It will probably keep increasing a lot, since it's starting to be played on the radio. "Cockiness (Love It)" also rose 6 spots to #22, fueled by Rihanna's performance at the VMAs, and also possibly being a radio single. :) "One More Night" and "Blown Away" both make big jumps. These two songs have grown on me a lot this past week or so, and I only see good things coming for them on my chart. "Heart Skips a Beat" and "Numb" are my two debuts for the week, at #s 36 and 38, respectively. Falling off to accommodate them are "Timebomb" and "Want U Back." Side note: Taylor is queen of the #39 position. After debuting at #39 2 weeks ago, she has had a chart run so far of -39-39-39... Lol. I honestly don't know if she will ever go up farther or not. Yay Numb!! and great chart as usual! As for your year end chart, I would simply choose the rankings. If you just kept songs that charted since your chart began, you won't really capture your full taste in music this year. That's what I'm doing. Plus, songs that I wish charted higher on the weekly charts will receive more credit for the year, so that the year-end chart really reflects my favorite songs of 2012.

I will most likely order it how I feel about the songs, and then note how they ranked on the points chart. Maybe post that full chart as well for fun. :)
