One Direction have the second biggest hit ever on my chart with "What Makes You Beautiful", so it's only fitting that their new single, "Live While We're Young", gets the honor of being the first #1 debut! It takes a lot to debut at #1 on my chart, and the infectious new song definately has what it takes! This is 1D's second #1 on the chart following "WMYB". "One Thing" peaked at #5 and "Moments" peaked at #3. Two songs enter the Top 10 this week: "Hall of Fame" by The Script (12-9) and "Be Your Everything" by Boys Like Girls (11-10).

The greatest gainer award goes to Usher's "Numb", which rises 30-18 in its third week. It's a great week for Usher, as the only other debut on the chart is Usher's other new single, "Dive" at #37. "Numb" and "Dive" are vying to become the fourth and fifth Top 10s from Usher's album, Looking 4 Myself, following "Climax" (#6), "Scream" (#2), and "Lemme See" (#10). Other big rises this week include Psy's "Gangnam Style" (25-15), Maroon 5's "One More Night" (26-16) and Imagine Dragons' "It's Time" (29-19). Matchbox Twenty's "She's So Mean" has the Biggest Fall for the second week in a row (first song to do this) with its 19-35 decline.

I've made a change to the chart bonuses. Instead of an "On the Verge" section, I will be including a "Currents" section. Rather than listing the next 5 songs that may make the chart, the "Currents" section will list all songs currently being considered for chart placement. I've made this change for two reasons:
-Bigger representation of my taste
-Chart debuts will be more surprising now
Also, a recurrents feature will be added. In most cases, a song will go recurrent when it drops out, but certain songs with a chance of re-entry will remain in the "Currents" section.

Some big moves this week. First of all, Maroon 5's "One More Night" is the Greatest Gainer, rising 15 places from #16. So yeah, it's #1. I used to hate this song, but in the last two weeks, it just really clicked with me. It surpasses the #2 peak of "Payphone". This is the first Hot 100 #1 to reach #1 on the chart. One Direction's "Live While We're Young" is pushed down to #2, after being the first song to debut at #1 last week. I'm sure it will get more weeks soon.

M5 share the Greatest Gainer honors with Usher, who gets it for the second week in a row. Last week, he was the Greatest Gainer with "Numb" (30-18). This week he is the Greatest Gainer with "Dive" (37-22). He is the first artist to achieve a feat like this. Other large gains belong to Chris Brown's "Don't Wake Me Up" (27-19), David Guetta's "I Can Only Imagine" (26-20), Carrie Underwood's "Blown Away" (36-24), The Cab's "Endlessly" (31-26), Rita Ora's "R.I.P." (33-27) and Alex Clare's "Too Close" (34-28). That's a total of 8 gains of over 5 this week.

Another 8 songs debut this week as well. Rihanna's "Diamonds" has the highest debut at #23. She wins the contest against Ke$ha, who debuts at #37 with "Die Young". Both artists beat out the debut week of Christina Aguilera, however, who only debuts at #40 this week with "Your Body", despite already being elligible for three weeks. Other debuts include Hunter Hayes's "Wanted" (#32), The Secret State's "The Biggest Mistake" (#34), OneRepublic's "Feel Again" (#36), Carly Rae Jepsen's "This Kiss" (#38), and Zedd's "Spectrum" (#39), which finally debuts after a record 5 weeks on the verge, a record it will now hold forever. ;)

Maroon 5 scores one more week at the top of the chart with "One More Night". Meanwhile, it's time for Imagine Dragons as "It's Time" rises 15-7 into the Top 10. It is joined by Enrique Iglesias who finally found his place in the Top 10 with "Finally Found You" (11-8). The Script's former-#9, "Hall of Fame" re-enters the spotlight rising 12-10.

Ke$ha isn't looking like she'll be dieing anytime soon, as "Die Young" scores the Greatest Gainer award, rising 37-25. Other large gains this week go to Imagine Dragons, Usher's "Dive (22-16), Rihanna's "Diamonds" (23-17), and Christina Aguilera's "Your Body" (40-35).
