Loved this song ever since it leaked. It would have charted higher if it was released earlier.

9. One More Night: Maroon 5(#1 for 3 weeks)
This song get's a lot of hate around Pulse, but I think it's great. So instant and sooo much better than PayPhone. Yes 9 weeks at #1 on the Hot 100 was a little much, but the song is fire and if you can't see it, welllllll.

8. Starships: Nicki Minaj(#1 for 3 weeks)
This is Pop Nicki at her best. "We higher than a mother fucker" still get's me everytime. I also love "so fuck who you want, and fuck who you like" line. This was the perfect beginning of summer song, and one of Nicki's best pop tracks.

7. Stonger(What doesn't kill you): Kelly Clarkson(#1 for 5 weeks)
Kelly's second #1 of 2012. This song instantly jumped out when I heard her CD, and I'm glad it became a huge grammy nominated hit. I'm all for empowerment even if the message has been done to death.

6. Call me Maybe: Carly Rae Jespen(# 4 Peak)
The only song in the top 10, not to make it to #1. This track stalled at #4, but stayed on the countdown for 28 weeks--the most ever for a non #1 song. So damn catchy, and definitely one of the songs that defined 2012 for me.

Flawless! Totally agree with OMN's comments. I love it and still do, don't get the hate, sooooooooo much better than Flopphone, and 9 weeks at #1 was all too much. Maybe 5.
