Anna's going to be back??? I'll have to start watching the show again then. :) Yeah. Hopefully she'll make the show actually good again. LOL But back on topic, I like the "You Oughta Know" idea. It'd mean more VH1 spins for the video! :) Daniel is far to similar to James Blunt to be a You Oughta Know artist. It would be great for the album/single, but it won't happen.

A large portion of this song was played on American Idol tonight! That should help the song.

This song deserves to be top 10 on HAC and at least top 20 on pop radio.

This song proves once again that there's always a market for a good Paul McCartney song, as long as Paul McCartney doesn't do it.

The fact that this song has gotten lots of time on American Idol definitely has helped. I hope it goes #1.

The fact that this song has gotten lots of time on American Idol definitely has helped. I hope it goes #1. I don't think there's anything that's going to stop it now... not even Mr. Blunt... This may end up being one of the biggest hits of the year here, at AC and CHR... AI has just driven this like crazy and the fact it's getting played at the end of every elimination show, leaves a lasting impression...

To me this sounds like something that could been written in the 1970s despite the fact that it was written about Daniel's house getting burnt.

I don't think the song was written about his house burning down. From what I know his apartment caught fire the day before the video was shot, but after the song was actually written. I could be wrong though.

Wow, I am surprised that this song that many of us had given up for dead has gone all the way to number one. Indeed, the comeback of the year!
The Max mentioned that this song sounds like something that Train would do. It does indeed, but also, it sounds like something that Aerosmith should have recorded (in fact, there are some parts of the song in which Daniel sounds like that band).
