Wow, Nickelback can't seem to get enough of the number one spot. For the third time, they return to the top with "Photograph". Is that going to be the number one Hot AC song of 2006? It's definitely going to be one of the biggest songs of the year at this rate.
Santana's new song hit the chart in the nick of time. As "I'm Feeling You" steps off the chart, the new song, featuring Aerosmith's Steven Tyler on vocals, debuts at number 15. I wonder how this song is going to do. I guess we'll find that out eventually.
Notice that there was only one Flashback Track this week. I guess they couldn't decide on one of the many 90s tracks that charted in that decade. The song for the 80s was an interesting choice. "Turning Japanese" by the Vapors barely scraped into the Top 40 in the fall of 1980. Needless to say, you don't hear it on the radio anymore, although I remember hearing it on Backtrax USA a few times.
I'll be back a little later on today to post this past weekend's VH1 Weekly Rewind chart.
