I'm really excited to hear this... I don't know why :) So am I. I was listening to her debut album a few days ago and noticed she had a new release on the way. Without hearing the song yet, I am hoping it will be closer to her earlier recordings. single cover:

I bought it from iTunes! I LOVE this. My favorite single from her in.. I don't even know how long. It has a hint of electric guitar that really adds a whole new element to her music.

Is there a clip available online other than on I-Tunes? Don't have to be the full song but like 30-60 seconds or something?

I like the album cover! It is like a modern version of her self-titled album :)

It's a shame it isn't going to do anything at Hot AC.
Tracy Chapman is one of the most raw, honest songwriters in the business. While her self-titled debut is a classic and can never exactly be matched in terms of commerical appeal (sales-wise "New Beginning" did, but didn't get the full word-to-mouth reception her debut did), she has consistently released great albums that live true to it, with her latest one "Where You Live" no exception.
Ever since, "Give Me One Reason" was a smash, radio has turned its back on her in the most part. The self-titled track from "Telling Stories" did well enough, but still fell way short of her pair of mega-hits ("Give Me One Reason", "Fast Car").
Come to think of it, "Fast Car" was also her only big hit off her self-titled album ("Talkin' Bout A Revolution" and "Baby Can I Hold You" were both released but didn't make any significant impact on the airwaves), so essentially radio hasn't taken her real seriously even during her two golden eras.
Anything, I'm very sad to say this wll go nowhere.
Sincerely, Noah Eaton
