HU officially matches Music's peak at Adult Top 40, by advancing 18-16* on the 12/17 chart.

Incidentally, when's the last time a dance track reached the top 20 at this format? Was it "Music"?

Incidentally, when's the last time a dance track reached the top 20 at this format? Was it "Music"? "Listen To Your Heart?" I'm not sure if that necessarily counts or not, it depends on what version HAC stations were playing. Otherwise I think it's "Days Go By" by Dirty Vegas in 2002, which barely made the top 20, peaking at around #19 or #20.

I probably woudn't count DHT, especially since it's likely that the ballad version got the lion's share of Hot AC play.
Ah, Dirty Vegas- that was a good one.

Not to discredit anything but I know my Hot AC station played the acoustic version of Dirty Vegas.

KALZ Fresno was a recent add for this song..they are up to about 17 new spins...her impressions at Hot AC should stay stable for the rest of the year!

WOMX 105.1 Orlando has spun HU twice in the last week.
These are the type of stations that hinder the second release.

I never knew of an acoustic version of Days Go By!
Once again, I tip my hat to Hot AC, for thinking outside the box with Hung Up, in terms of what type of track typically gets decent play at the format.

Oddly, there are 7 "Format Starters" for HU in the past week (same number as in Pop). 'Format Starters" are stations that have *never* played the sogn at least twice in a week, correct? Meaning, it wouldn't bea station that maybe played it a few weeks ago, didn't for a couple of weeks and then did again in the past week? If so, it wouldn't a a "starter." :)
WTSS-FM Buffalo- 36 spins- 0.332m audience WMC-FM Memphis- 16 spins- 0.043m audience WSNE-FM Providence- 9 spins- 0.024m audience KLSY-FM Seattle- 3 spins- 0.025m audience WOMX-FM Orlando- 3 spins- 0.008m audience WMYX-FM Milwaukee- 2 spins- 0.025m audience WKRQ-FM Cincinnati- 2 spins- 0.006m audience

I'm starting to think that it's because of weekend countdowns. However, it helps her impressions, but I don't think we will see some huge increases from some of these stations, but I hope. Her Hot AC and Pop impressions are very close.

The spins don't necessarily have to be the very first ones on the station. Here are the total-to-date HU spins for the stations listed above: WTSS - 147 spins WMC - 149 spins WSNE - 32 spins KLSY - 187 spins WOMX - 29 spins WMYX - 4 spins WKRQ - 217 spins

That's strange...WTSS has given it 147 spins to date, but none last week and now 36? I wonder why they do this.

HU is 15 on both the "m" version of HOT AC *and* the "r" version used for the R&R charts. Wonder if it will move up from 17 to 15 on Billboard's Adult Top 40 chart...

LOL. I was thinking this yesterday and was going to post the same thing, maybe it will reach a new peak on the Adult Top 40. I think it has a good chance, but may get stuck where it's at.

Fall Out Boy has passed HU on the "r" chart. We'll see how things turn out on BB's Adult Top 40...

It looks as though "Hung Up" did indeed stay in place at 17 on the Adult Top 40 chart. Here is a portion of this week's chart: ARTIST SONG RANK TW LW Staind Right Here 14 1190 1186 Weezer Beverly Hills 15 1176 1209 Fall Out Boy Sugar, We're Going Down 16 1162 1108 Madonna Hung Up 17 1119 1085 Next week, it may be able to move up to 16 if it can gain enough to pass Weezer.

It's all good- matching Music's peak at the format is a nice accomplishment. :)

Alright, botox, I think you're toying with us. ;) HU inches up 17-16* on the 1/21 Adult Top 40 chart. :)

Alright, botox, I think you're toying with us. ;) HU inches up 17-16* on the 1/21 Adult Top 40 chart. :) My bad - I got the numbers from BigChampagne, which I guess is not the most reliable source. They don't remove recurrents from their charts, which may have been the problem... I'll certainly be more careful using their positions in the future!

I noticed WPLJ NY spun HU recently...a little late...their impressions would have helped!
