Good to finally hear the show again after it not being aired by the Coast for two consecutive weeks. When they didn't play it last week, I was sure that they had dropped it, but they did not.
Looks like Lifehouse's everlasting hit "You And Me" is just about out of gas. The song debuted way, way back on March 12 of last year and lasted quite some time on a chart that has been known to mysteriously drop songs from way up inside the Top Ten (Top Five, in some cases) even though they clearly have a lot of life left in them. "You And Me" is still nowhere near out of gas on the R&R chart, but at least Lifehouse was given a lot of time on the VH-1 chart. Looks like the "chart longevity champ" crown is going to go to Bon Jovi's "Have A Nice Day", possibly as soon as next week, unless that song falls off the chart also.
It looks like the Santana/Michelle Branch collaboration isn't going to be anywhere near as successful as "The Game Of Love", as "I'm Feeling You" drops to #14. The song is struggling on the R&R chart, too. Oh well, I didn't like this song as much as "Game Of Love" anyway.
Songs to watch for in the future include "In The Rough" by Anna Nalick, "How Do You Love" by Collective Soul and, one of my personal faves, "Cab" by Train. Those songs are all in the Top 20 (according to the latest Mediabase update). The two other songs in the Top 20 not on VH-1 are "Good Is Good" by Sheryl Crow and "Right Here" by Staind. Both songs just recently left the VH-1 chart.
Nickelback still holds onto the top spot with "Photograph", but Kelly Clarkson will probably take over #1 in the next few weeks.
