Wow... did he make any mention of the fact that the entire Top 14 was holding steady? And did he run out of synonyms for "standing pat"?

It's sort of ironic that the chart is so slow, seeing that this is usually about the week that they get around to the first chart of the year which, many years ago, contained the most chart action, with big moves and everything. Back on the first chart in 1985, there was an astounding TEN debuts! And there were also a few unusually large chart jumps. I miss those days.

Then you should have been listening two weeks ago, when he counted down the chart from 12/23/05, having skipped the chart from 12/16/05. Quite a bit of chart action that week, even if the moves did not match up to his previous regular countdown (and then naturally, this wickedly slow chart had to come along to even things out ).

Actually, I wasn't listening this week either, since I don't get AT20 anywhere in my listening area. ;)
But yeah, that's what I mean - since he skipped the 12/16 chart instead, this one contains no movement.

Reception, is this show now airing in Hawaii or did you hear it over the internet?
Other chart facts:
--Santana is the most successful Mexican-born musician on the American charts.
--"Hung Up" hit #1 on the dance chart.
--INXS was first called The Ferris Brothers
--James Blunt's dad told him that his music was noise.
--"Wake Me Up..." is about the bond between father and son.
--Nickelback's motto used to be "good enough." Now it's "not good enough yet."
--4 hits by solo women
Tops of the other charts:
AC - Home - Michael Buble Alternative - Hypnotize - System of a Down Country - She's Let Herself Go - George Strait
Then there was an unattached story about the music of Starbucks.

There is no AT20 affiliate in Hawaii, so I'm hearing it on the internet. The only AT10 affiliate in Hawaii is on 92.7 KHWI Hilo.
