The Triple A station in the Denver metro is releasing the 17th volume of their sampler CD, which features live tracks. Info is here. www.kbco.com/pages/studioc-archives.html?feed=105538&article=306729 It's only available in stores on Sat., Dec. 3 and it sells out fast. :( But I'm looking for it; could anyone in the Denver/Boulder metro area pick me up one? I'd reimburse you for your hard work, of course. PM me if you can; it would be much appreciated!

Sorry I couldn't do this for you last year and now definitely not this year! :( :(
If anyone is going to do it, you better get to Soundtrack like at 7 AM (they open at 8 AM).

I think SingingSparrow, er... SunnyScorpio is in Colorado. You might want to check with him.

Why don't they just print more copies? Sounds strange that something sells out in hours but they don't just bump the print order. Do they just want to boast that it sold out in hours each year?

They like the drama of peoplew literally running into the stores at 8 AM to fight with people over copies. They even limit the number of copies sold to each customer. It's ridiculous for sure. But, then again, you can sell it for a pretty penny on eBay.

Sorry I couldn't do this for you last year and now definitely not this year! :( :( No problem... your efforts were highly appreciated :) (I also thought SingingSparrow was in Portland... I just thought he may have not changed his profile yet.) Alas, I could not get ahold of it this year either. There are maybe a handful or so stations that release these every year, but the ones in Denver in Minneapolis are odd in that they're very limited, they don't offer them online, and they sell out within hours. These two stations are owned by Clear Channel too (whereas the rest of the ones that make these kinds of CDs aren't), so maybe it really is all a part of Clear Channel's scheme to create a frenzy. They say that they're only allowed to print a certain number per year due to copyright restrictions... but last year's one from WBOS/Boston is still for sale online and they have some of the same songs, so it can't be just that. I agree with the limit of two per person though.
