This is from the last cd. It was up for possible 3rd single from My Private Nation but "Ordinary" from Spiderman 2 messed up that strategy. This could be from a new cd of some sort or a remix but i bet it's getting a release now due to play in tv commercials. This song is great though and will go Top 10 at Hot AC easy and should do just as well as "Calling All Angels" & "When I Look To The Sky" at POP.

Didn't "My Private Nation" have three singles? Calling All Angels, All American Girl, and When I Look To the Sky? Or wasn't AAG a single?
These guys seem to pour out an album once every two years, so they should be due for some new material soon.

All American Girl wasn't a single at Hot AC or Pop I don't know about Triple A though

"My Private Nation" was originally supposed to be the third single from the album of the same name until "Ordinary" replaced the strategy.
I don't know why the heck this is being released. It HAS to be a re-mix because "My Private Nation" has been out for a little over two years as it is.
Could it be simply because it's being re-released as a DualDisc that they are pushing another single?
I'd personally save their energy for the next album. Word has it it's coming out this fall.
Sincerely, Noah Eaton

I'm not sure what this is from, but it goes for adds next week. It's from those Cingular commericals, I'm pretty sure. I'm interested, but I'd be remissed if I said those commericals weren't making this song kinda annoying.

I'm still disappointed that "Ordinary" didn't do better on the charts. Sure, it made the top twenty on the HotAC charts and the Spiderman 2 soundtrack sold decently, but that song might be my favorite Train release. I think "Calling All Angels" was such an annoying song, but for some reason HotAC really overplayed it. The remix of "When I Look to the Sky" and "Ordinary" were far superior songs, but even the combined airplay of the two does not match what "Calling All Angels" did. I think Train might have a hard time finding another hit, even one the size of CAA.

Reminds me of Oleta Adams' "Get Here" lyrically.

My Private Nation would have been huge IMO. I thought it was the best song on the album. I can't wait for new music from these guys. I figure about one more album and the lead guy will do a solo album.

From the official web-site's journal:
in the meantime, cingular wireless has been using our song "get to me" for their tv ads, which seems to be working for them and us! our record company and management (and hopefully every radio station in the country!) have decided it would be a good idea to release the song as a single, so you'll probably start to hear that one very soon. we're also planning to do some television and radio promotion in the next month or so to promote it. we're already scheduled to appear on good morning america july 8th. other things will be added soon, so keep checking our website (which you will also start to see changes on thanks to brandon and our hard working team at columbia records). there is even some talk about doing a video for the song! we'll definitely keep you posted on everything. it's time for this Train to get back on the tracks! ew...i suck for saying that. idiot! and to think i could have just hit the backspace button a few times and written something much cooler, but instead i decide to punish myself and call myself names and write all of this other bullshit that makes me look even more like an idiot! jeez. see?...this is what happens when we stay out of touch for so long. now i'm pissed.
This is definitely an unusual and rare move for a band, but...okay.
I'd still personally save the anticipation for the next album.
Sincerely, Noah Eaton

What do you mean? This song hasn't been released before, has it? I think he is referring to the fact that this song comes from the "My Private Nation" album, which is over 2 years old...

I might be alone on this, but I like it better than the two singles that did get released.

The lyrics to this song are so lame. I really can't stand to listen to this song.

I finally listened to song all the way and I thought it sucked. Not as much as "Drops of Jupiter", but still sucks.

The chorus in this song is nice but the song overall is just average. Typical Train music which I'm vastly tired of.
