If there's a topic for this song already, I apologize. I couldn't find one.
Is anybody else surprised by how well this is doing on Hot AC? Today it entered the top 20, and with a very big bullet. Tim McGraw's "Live Like You Were Dying", which I thought was a lot more interesting and Hot AC friendly, saw a slow climb to a peak just outside the top 20, so I figured this wouldn't even make the top 30. There's also the fact that this already went recurrent on AC after 50 weeks on the chart, and it didn't even debut there until around the time it went reucrrent on country.
So how much higher will this go? A peak inside the top 15 is looking very possible at this point.

With it also rising on Pop , where it might actually have a chance at the Top40 , this might have chance at Top10 here especially with many of the current Top10 hits decreasing .

Must be some kind of "record" or "achievement", to be peaking on a different format only after it has gone recurrent on the previous format twice.

I like this song but it's so old, it's weird to see it hitting the Top 20 at Hot AC right now.

On the VH-1 Weekly rewind this past week, it moved 8 to 5. Yeah, I found it surprising for this song to be still moving up the chart nearly two years after it was first released to Country. I predict that after it goes recurrent at Hot AC, it'll hit the CHR/Pop chart. Then, it'll probably hit another chart after it falls off of that. It seems to be an everlasting hit.

Yeah just like Crossfade's "Cold" . I still wonder why Cold hasn't hit the HotAC chart , it's at least as HotAC friendly as Headstrong and Scars

You know this does kind of remind me of a Matchbox Twenty song country-fied.

Wow, if someone asked me at the beginning of this year if this song would be a top 10 contender on HAC, I would have laughed. Now, it looks almost certain.

I like this a lot more than "Live Like You Were Dying" (talk about cliché country). Strange to see it get so high on Hot AC, so late in the game. Even AC was faster at pouncing on this one.

I don't think it was released to HAC and pop until just recently. The release to AC was a no brainer IMO, but I think the record label didn't release it to the other two formats until they saw some stations spinning it.

I'm going to have to see from past charts, but I wonder if this song could be up for contender for longest running continuously in the top 20 of any chart all time. It was proabably still in top 20 of country when it went to AC, and was in top 20 of AC when it went to hot AC. It's #3 on hot 100 recurrent airplay this week. Could go higher, probably all the way to #1, if it can gain any speed at chr/pop format. I think it has a decent chance at #1 on hot ac as well, as most of the songs in top 10 are declining or somewhat stable. He is growing, and next big contender is proabably the new santana song.
