DAN'S NOTES:
*DAMN AT40! Giving us hope that finger eleven and "Breakaway" would finally leave the chart, and what happens? They BOTH stay on, and the Low Millions drop off! I'm beginning to think that this whole countdown is just some kind of cruel joke.
*On the topic of cruel jokes, what the hell is up with this week's extras? They're awful! I mean, sure, I'll give Sarah McLachlan some love 'cause, well, I love Sarah McLachlan, but John Mayer? Counting Crows? Come on, folks! These are already some of the most overplayed songs on HotAC radio! And the really sad part for me is that because 3/4 Optional Extras are CanCon this week, I'll have to play 'em anyway...
*Okay, who has the worst lyric: Sheryl Crow's "good is good and bad is bad," or Train's "well an airplane's faster than a cadillac, and a whole lot smoother than a camel's back"? Ooh, maybe I should start a poll, 'cause really, they're both horrible, and well, kinda obvious. Way to go with the prolific songwriting, guys!
*I'm now 100% certain that "Have A Nice Day" really IS "It's My Life."
*My great grandmother is apparently a happy woman this week, as I believe 75% of the songs on the chart are as old she she is! Way to go, great granny! You keep supporting finger eleven!
*Thank God I also recap the Canadian Top 20, 'cause honestly, if this was it, I'd probably kill myself just so that I didn't have to report whatever nonsence Ryan's bringin' to me next week. So thanks Freeway Frank, for keepin' me alive and sane! Oh, and if you kids want a cool HotAC chart, head on over to the Canadian Charts forum and check out that chart. You'll cry.
