My Hot AC station started playing this almost a week ago I think. I had no idea who it was and it wasn't easy to figure out by google search. Eventually, I found out that it was the "Pat McGee Band."
I think it is a decent song and it looks like it is picking up a few adds.

Hey, I'm relatively new here so I don't know how the charts work or the rules for "recurrent" songs, etc. If someone could explain them to me along the way, that would be much appreciated! I work at a radio station on my college campus, so it would be a plus to know these things.
Anyway, we started playing this song about three months ago or so. It's a great song, almost has a countryish feel to it.

I don't have the intricate details committed to memory like many, but I believe a song on Hot AC goes recurrent when it falls below #15 on the chart and has charted for 30 weeks...? Not sure about the 30 weeks, but something close to that. Others here will know. I agree this is a great song and am surprised so few stations have picked it up at this late date. Has an early-90s pop feel to it I love.

Not sure about the 30 weeks, but something close to that. Others here will know. For HAC and AAA, songs are moved to recurrent status on R&R once the song has more than 20 weeks on the chart and is below #15. This rule also applies to AC, Urban AC, and Smooth Jazz. An additional rule applies on the AC chart: a song can be moved to recurrent after it has been on the chart for more than 50 weeks and is below #5 (and yes, this rule is used often!). On Country, a song is moved to recurrent once it has 3 straight weeks with no bullet and is not #1 on the chart. For all other formats except Christian formats, a song is removed from the chart and enters recurrent status once it has more than 20 weeks on the chart and is below #20. For Christian formats, the recurrent rule is not well defined and I do not know of anyone who knows it.
