Word has it this will be the second single from "The Forgotten Arm".
It is a wonderfully catchy tune, with a lot of hook energy and piano chiming over nice classic rock and roll.
I doubt this will do much (like about all of Aimee's singles) especially since this is one of the more conceptual songs of this concept album about John and Caroline ("She Really Wants You" arguably would make a better single choice) but this is catchy and it at least should deserve to go somewhere.
Sincerely, Noah Eaon

I noticed tons of her older CDs are for sale everywhere here in Oz now. Strange.
The only song I've heard is 'going through the motions'... which is a nice little song! She has the talent, but I think she needs some more commercial appeal to go some where..

www.aimeemann.com/theforgottenarm.htmlYou can hear this track and others on her official web-site. Shame that no matter what she releases it isn't going to go anywhere, especially with "Goodbye Caroline" being perhaps her catchiest single since "That's Just What You Are". Sincerely, Noah Eaton

Why do you think her songs don't go anywhere?

She's never been a staple artist, just one of those singers who is kind of well-known but not really famous. I also think promotion for all of her albums just sucks. If they could get her songs used in movies, which so many are perfect for, or even TV shows, I think she'd branch out to a wider audience. Magnolia was the best thing to happen to her.

I love Aimee Mann and unfortunately I don't think she will get much airplay outside of some AAA stations. But I don't think that is what Aimee is all about anyway. Would be cool to see her get a surprise hit one more time around. She's just an amazing artist. btw, great song though
