And, before their Greatest Hits CD diluted the iTunes library with repeats, "Mr. Bartender" was often in the top 12 or 13 most downloaded Sugar Ray songs, out of 80 or so. Apparently, consumers didn't hate the song as much as radio implied... 12/13 out of 80 isn't saying much because people download what they heard and most, if not all, of the 67 it's higher than aren't singles. If it's among the singles (not album tracks) least downloaded then consumers do hate the song as much as radio implied. I don't know even one person that likes Mr. Bartender. Anyway, I heard Shot of Laughter & hate it, but I haven't liked any of their stuff anyway besides Falls Apart & maybe their cover of ISRGOWH.

True.
But, "Mr. Bartender" was barely a single. It disappeared before many people even got a chance to hear it or see the short lived video.
It had a couple weeks of light exposure 2 years ago. That's it.
It's not played on the radio at all today. It's not on VH1 at all today.
Actually, if I weren't a SR fan, I could have easily passed through 2003 without ever knowing the song even existed. So, for many people, "Mr. Bartender" was the equivalent of a b-side or a non-single. (Heck, it's not even on their "Best Of" CD.)
So, considering that, I'd say that #12 or 13 wasn't as bad as it could have been. In spite of the crappy exposure...
Hi. My name is Xykes...
Honestly, I don't know why people would have such a problem with Mr. B, while songs like "Hollaback Girl", "Get The Party Started", "Hella Good", and "Hey Baby" blow up the charts. It's all the same hip-hop/rock/dance/techno hyrbrid...

But he doesn't know you. Anyway, back on topic. It's not terrible, but did they really have to mention "summer" 30-some odd times to ingrain into people's heads that it's a summer song?

DMX Music channeL #9 ( a Hot AC channel) gives this quite a bit of spins. They just played it a couple minutes ago.

Well, I think this song "peaked" already.
