This week on AT20, Casey Kasem got to use a three word phrase that's been absent from his vocabulary for at least a year and a half... "falling six notches..." Seriously, when was the last time a song fell 6 notches within the Top 20 at HotAC? Moves that large are rare enough, but in the case of "American Baby" it also meant that a Top Ten peaking song fell below #15 before going recurrent.

Trust Dave Matthews Band to make that feat :)

Answering my own question, the last six notch drop inside the top 20 was probably "Landslide" in 2003, but that was an unusual situation. I can't remember too many others in recent years that didn't involve controversy.

Exactly a year ago, Alanis Morissette dropped from #10 to #16 with "Everything."
The following songs fell 5: Extraordinary, Vertigo, Are You Happy Now.

Yeah, songs don't drop 6 notches like that very often on Hot AC unless it's a song like "Landslide".

On the flip-side, the biggest jump I recall on AT20 (or the Top 20 portion of the R&R Chart, since I rarely hear the show) was "The Game of Love" jumping 10 spots in 2002. Has anyone ever beat that?
