Could this become a Hot AC/CHR/Pop crossover?
She is already being compared to Norah Jones a lot, and I can see her accelerating in fame.
My Predictions:
Triple A: #3 Hot AC: #19
Sincerely, Noah Eaton

Ahhhh....
I love Rachael! Her album Happenstance is one of my favorite albums of the year. Her voice is so much like Fiona Apple's, it's scary. Even critics have said that, "Fiona Apple has released a new album...only it's by Racheal Yamagata."
This song is the most radio friendly on the album. She is a lot more talented than Norah, IMO. Her voice has so much more soul and emotion. Hope this is a hit so she can finally get some recognition she deserves.

She's not making a very good case for Asian-Americans in the music industry. Ugh, she sounds like an elephant giving birth.

This is jumping 12-5* at AAA! Not suprising at all. Rachael is one artist I see growing bigger and bigger in fame in the coming months, and very well be the next Norah Jones or Josh Grobin type of success story. With the intense competition happening between positions 5-12, who knows where her official position will be this week. Right now she's at #8 and with the way the chart fluctuates, she still has a shot at #5 this week. Sincerely, Noah Eaton

Do I have a demo version of this song or something?
I just watched the video on VH1 and its a slightly faster version. Then I went to Amazon, listened to the clip to see if that was just a radio edit and I had the album version, but no, it was the same version as was on VH1.
I don't like the "fast" version as much, it's not as heartfelt.
I got mine on Kazaa Lite.

Oh, nevermind. I have the version that was on her EP that was released last year.
Anyways, both versions are excellent
I don't get the Norah Jones comparison though ??? Norah is so boring and has little vocal range. Fiona Apple is more likely.

She's not making a very good case for Asian-Americans in the music industry. Ugh, she sounds like an elephant giving birth. I think it's very ironic that you should say this, when you've got Utada Hikaru in your siggie. Rachael is a lot more talented than Ms. "You're Easy Breezy, and I'm Japeneezy". I'd think the Asian-American community would be more ashamed of Utada than of Rachael... /opinion.

I don't like "Easy Breezy" either but at least Utada's voice is listenable, and some of her other songs are good. I'm rooting for it though because I want to hear more J-Pop artists here. Yamagata isn't J-Pop, she's just half-Asian.

HEY EVERYBODY:
Let's support 'Worn Me Down' on Hot AC. If it's a hit there, it'll probably have a chance as songs from 311 and Gavin DeGraw have shown,

When I first saw the video for this, I thought SHAKIRA! was back with her dark haired ways! But then I got a closer look and it wasn't her.. :( But anyways, I like this song and I want to buy Rachel's album.
