Since this is picking up quite a few Adds, it seems pretty plausible to ask if this is being released as a single.
MediaBase reports six stations have picked this up with a +39 bullet off the bat.
Sincerely, Noah Eaton

Please don't say this is a cover of the Commodores classic hit...

Please don't say this is a cover of the Commodores classic hit... Do you mean Kenny Rogers? (I know Lionel Richie did write the song, so they may have perfomerd it too) or a cover of Styx's almost as much a classic hit.

Do you mean Kenny Rogers? (I know Lionel Richie did write the song, so they may have perfomerd it too) The Commodores did have a song called "Lady" as well, which was a top 10 hit. Kenny Rogers also had one... I hope it is not a remake of any of those...

Now on 12 stations.
So did this go for adds?
This seems weird because "California" just recently went for adds and did nothing. But I still thought it'd be too soon to move on to the next single already. But I can't 12 stations just gravitating towards a Lenny song all of a sudden considering the performance of his other singles so far....
Anyway, "Lady" is a pretty good song. But not as good as "California" and DEFINITELY not as good as "Where Are We Runnin?" so if those 2 couldn't do anything, I don't see this really going anywhere either.

It goes for adds next week. I'm surprised it's doing so well since "California" was a better song.

It goes for adds next week. . I'm surprised to see another single considering this album has turned into a disaster, despite the lead single being both one of 2004's and Lenny's best songs. But "Lady" is now the 3rd single to the format and 4th single overall from the album. I give the label credit for keep on trying, but really, what do they think is going to happen here? Plus, has it even been 6 weeks yet since "California" went for ads?

How long is it going to be til Matt Serletic gets the ax? As much as I like his work with my favorite band, he hasn't been all that successful as the head of Virgin.

This song just might bring the album back to life. I've already heard it like 30 times on the stupid VMA commercial's and I like it. California was great, though. I have no idea what they were thinking releasing Storm. Hopefully if this one does well he'll re-release California. I really think this album lacks good singles though.

Hopefully if this one does well he'll re-release California. That'd be great, "California" sounds like radio perfection... especially during the summer months. However, I'd say the lead single "Where Are We Runnin'?" is up there with "Fly Away" and "Again" as Lenny's best single to date. If that couldn't do anything at radio, I don't know what weill. I think the singles from this album (except "Storm") are the best singles from any Lenny album. "WAWR?" "California" and "Lady" are all great singles and none of them should have problems stalling at radio. Havn't heard the rest of the album though.

Hopefully if this one does well he'll re-release California. I hope not. Local H and I are sick of hearing California songs.

This is the worst thing Lenny Kravitz has done by a landslide.

good song, it's a hit.. I wonder if there has ever been any song written someone didn't think was horrible, i guess that's why nobody sells 100,000,000 cd's LOL :)

I would have never guessed that after 2 flops we'd see "Lady" as a Top 5 HAC hit. As much as I'd like to trade its success for "Where Are We Runnin'?" or "California," congrats to Lenny.

I kind of like Lady. But noticed that Blender picked it as the worst single of 2004.

But noticed that Blender picked it as the worst single of 2004. I did notice that. While it's easily the worst of the 3 Pop/HAC singles, it is not even close to being the worst song of the year. That made noooo sense at all.
