I heard some of Rick's "hot ac" version of the Weekly Top 40 last night, and I came in in the first hour, so I noticed Rick was actually counting down the whole top 40, instead of starting with #30 and playing a bunch of extras. I also noticed that the chart he used was not the R&R Hot AC chart. Though most of the songs were the same, very few of them were in the same position as the R&R chart. I fell asleep before the end of the show, so I don't know whether #1 was the same, and I don't know whether he said on the show where the chart info came from. Anybody else listen to this show? If so, do you have any more info about this? I probably won't listen too often to this show, but I might actually listen to the first hour on occasion, if he's really playing the 31-40 songs, some of those I don't hear on the radio much if at all.

I only get the CHR/Pop version, but he's been doing the same thing over there -- using a chart with most of the same songs as the R&R chart but not in the same positions. I wonder if he lost the rights to use that data when he left Premiere.

I listen to it on the internet it is interesting because for a long time it modeled the AT 20 chart but in the last couple of weeks it has changed and played some songs you didn't expect to see. 2-19's # 1 was Breakaway by Kelly Clarkson and this week she dropped out for Green Day and Boulevard of Broken Dreams
