I say this because just within the past week DMX music has been playing this and I heard it most recently on the Adult Contemporary channel. It would make sense considering the success of the O.C. and the new season coming up and its also a decent song.

It con do something on pop and Hot/AC

Well, the problem with this is that Phantom Planet changed their sound considerably from The Guest to their self titled album. I just don't see how they'd even be remotely interested in rereleasing California.

No, they didn't which was pretty stupid.
I remember woxy playing the hell out of Badd Business and 1st Things 1st though, which both would have made decent singles.
