"Don't Tell Me" failed to match the success of Complicated and I'm With You, but how well do you think MHE could do? I think it could go top 5 on Hot AC.

I thinks it's her best since "Complicated"... "Don't Tell Me" went Top 10 at both formats which is still great...
I think "My Happy Ending" should outpeak "Don't Tell Me" on both formats as well
POP- #3 Hot AC- #6

"Don't Tell Me" only hit #11 on CHR/Pop. It was #9 midweek and billboard reported it as #9 on their pop chart which is based on mediabase.

Don't Tell Me spent a few days in the Top 10 and I guess for the week was #11, but in the Published Billboard Chart it hit #10...............

This song isn't that bad compared to some of her other songs. It should do at least as well as "Don't Tell Me". I'll say #5.

I don't like this song as well as her first single off this album. My guess is #10 on HotAC.

It was #9 midweek and billboard reported it as #9 on their pop chart which is based on mediabase. By CHR/Pop I was referring to Radio & Records' chart, not Mediabase or Billboard. When someone names peaks for formats, I assume they're talking about R&R unless they specify otherwise. And I thought Billboard's charts were based on BDS, not Mediabase.

It's going to become at least a top 5 hit on CHR-pop.

BDS charts are available if you have an account at www.bdsradio.com. If you really want BDS data, sign up for a free demo account. You get access to the top 20 of one chart, the top 20 of every station monitored by BDS, and as many song searches as you want. You can find chart positions beyond the top 20 by doing song searches. The only catch is that you have to say you work at a radio station to register. I tried this back in 1999, but BDS must have gotten wise to the fact that I didn't really work at a radio station, because they cancelled all my demo accounts, and blocked my IP from registering again. A list of BDS gainers was also on All Access for a while, but it was eventually replaced with the Mediabase charts we know and love today.

If so then BDS is smarter than All Access. You have to say you work for a radio station to register for All Access also.

I don't know why the industry workers can access to that information, but the rest of the world who loves music can't... does anybody understand the problem???

If so then BDS is smarter than All Access. You have to say you work for a radio station to register for All Access also. I'm pretty sure BDS figured out I wasn't in the industry when I gave them an obviously fake phone number. All Access doesn't check on that sort of thing. I don't think it's a "smarter" issue though. BDS is trying to sell you a $1000 a year subscription, and they know non-industry people won't pony up that kind of money just for chart data, so there's no point in giving them demo accounts. All Access, on the other hand, is advertiser supported and depends on having a lot of people read it. While All Access would prefer that you are in the radio industry, they don't bother doing checks, because they want as many people reading the site as possible so they can charge more for ads.

You might be able to get an account with Mediabase or BDS if you say you're doing research, but it's going to cost you a lot! That's the main reason Mediabase and BDS don't bother targeting music fans... they cost more than all but the biggest chart fans would be willing to pay.

I think this song is a little more HAC-friendly than "Don't Tell Me," but HAC is a SLOW-moving format so I almost think its too soon for a follow-up to DTM at HAC right now. It may hurt MHE.

I htink the other problem is that Avril appeals to teenage girls... They are not the core audience for this format, so I think the PDs hold off on playing anything new from her.

This song has just hit the top 20 on Hot AC with close to +300 gains. I think it can hit top 10.
