"Move On" is scheduled to be the first song issued to radio from Heart's new studio LP, "Jupiter's Darling". The album is scheduled for a June release, with the "Move On" going to radio in May. The information is sketchy, but the album will have 15 tracks including "Lost Angel", a Nancy Wilson song that has been a recent concert favorite. more information to come :)

I see this charting in the 60 or 70's of the HotAC chart in June.

I'd have to hear it first. My general rule is that Heart can do no wrong, but the last I really employed that rule was many years ago. It should be interesting anyway.

That album cover looks pretty cheesy. The logo and the fractal don't go together at all.

Agreed! That picture was listed as an "ADVANCED" cover. Hopefully, they will use something else when it's released on June 22nd.

I don't think Ann & Nancy Wilson have written anything as good as their classic hits from the 1970's since then. I also enjoyed their music during the late 1980's by outside writers (esp. "Alone").
PG seems kind of bland with this clip, but I am eager to hear the entire song (and album). They have been gone for way too long.

In related news, there may be a new duet between David Pack (Ambrosia) and Ann Wilson released in the near future.
David Pack New Solo CD being recorded
February through April has found David Pack writing and recording tracks for his new CD. He has written a song with David Benoit and Russ Freeman called "Travellin Light" which may become the title track. Tracks have been cut that include legendary musicians and singers: David Benoit & Russ Freeman (Rippingtons), drummers Vinnie Colaiuta & Steve Ferrone; Bassist Alex Al; Percussionist Luis Conte; with guest vocal support from the Eagles amazing vocalist/bassist Timothy Schmidt, the incomparable Steve Perry (collaborating on production of a new song), Ann Wilson of Heart, and America's classic voice of Dewey Bunnell. David has also done some "vocalese" work on the new Benoit/Freeman smooth jazz upcoming CD. David Pack will be perform this summer as a surprise special guest on the Benoit Freeman tour. Dates will be add in the near future.

I agree, Oldest story is much better than the other one, but they have always been one of my favorite groups, even though a lot of their material is older than me

A poll was taken on Heart's official message board. The question was asking which of the three tracks issued before the album's release do they like best.
The results:
(44%) Oldest Story In The World (39%) Make Me (18%) The Perfect Goodbye

HEART The Perfect Goodbye Producer(s): Nancy Wilson, Craig Bartock Writer(s): A. Wilson, N. Wilson, C. Bartock Publisher(s): Universal Music Publishing Genre: POP Label/Catalog Number: Sovereign Artists 196 (CD promo) Source: Billboard Magazine Originally Reviewed: June 19, 2004
Sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson have continued making music since the last studio album they recorded as Heart. But now they are releasing "Jupiter's Darling," the first album of new Heart material in more than a decade. Single "The Perfect Goodbye" features the poetic lyrics that the duo is known for: "Shoes on the floor/They're intertwined/Just like the touch we left behind." These are accompanied by the familiar sighing harmonies and a guitar-heavy composition. The song recalls material from Heart's "Desire Walks On" but is less self-conscious. Lead vocalist Ann sounds great, although she keeps her famous four-octave range in check. Too bad. Her powerful voice could show a few of today's pop singers how it's done.—CLT

Wow! All Music Guide gave "Jupiter's Darling" a fantastic review. --
In the decade since their last studio outing, Heart's Ann and Nancy Wilson have apparently done some soul-searching and meditating on what made Heart such a great band in the first place. At their peak, they were a powerful, obsessively compelling rock band that could knock off hit singles and consistently fine albums that appealed to album rock radio junkies and studious types. Jupiters Darling is the result of that reflection. It's easily the band's finest moment in over 20 years. Ann and Nancy have gotten their confidence back as bandleaders; the obvious control they exert over these proceedings is one of the album's chief strengths. Guitarist Craig Bartock (who co-produced with Nancy and collaborated as a songwriter on most of these tracks), bassist Mike Inez, drummer Ben Smith, and Darian Sahanaja on keyboards are all wound deep into the Wilsons' sonic tapestry that combines tough, edgy, riff-based guitar rock with textures and motifs from Eastern music, the blues, and psychedelia, à la their influences from Led Zeppelin as well as vintage pop. Over 16 cuts and 62 minutes, Jupiters Darling does not feel overly long; the sheer diversity of its songs and production makes for a wonderfully labyrinthine listening experience. On "Make Me," the acoustic flamenco cum rag blues intro opens out into a rocker that bears the traces of "Crazy On You." Ann's voice opens up the words of a love song that demands resolution. The urgency in the lyric is carried to the edge of the abyss by the triumvirate of guitars. "Oldest Story in the World" has all the grit of "Magic Man," and wrangles out pumped-up riffology. Nancy's country vocal on "Rings" feels a bit like Zeppelin's "Going to California," though it's less serious. There's adventure in tracks like "Enough," with its flutes and dulcimers, and "I Need the Rain," with its mandolins, as well as in the engaging radio pop of "The Perfect Goodbye" and the trippy, grungy rock of "Move On." The funky rawness of "Vainglorious" has a smoking refrain. Pearl Jam's Mike McCready joins the band on "I'm Fine," the scorching blues-rocker "Down the Nile," and "Led to One," as does former Alice in Chains guitarist Jerry Cantrell on the grunged-out crunch of "Fallen Ones." Jupiters Darling delivers far beyond expectations; it proves in spades that Heart is a vital and creative rock & roll unit and a force to be reckoned with. — Thom Jurek

With the way it's going on AC I don't see it charting.
