First of all, I just found Pulse for the first time since the R&R Boards disappeared like Crystal Pepsi, so I'm extremely happy. Anyways...
I'm not an avid fan of The Corrs, or the Modern AC scene, however, I heard a live version of this song on the radio the other day on a small market radio station, and wow, this is by far their best single, and could possibly be TEXTtheTEXT summer single of 2004, no kidding. This song will surpass the success of 2002's Sheryl Crow- Soak Up The Sun, and is by far the Corrs best song to date. This song in my opinion will peak:
Hot AC: #2 CHR\POP: perhaps Top 15 with crossover success, a very similar chartrun to Breathless' second run. AC: #2 Everywhere else in the western world, easily a #1.
The song will easily be in the year's final Top 40 for all 3 formats. For sense of the sound, it sounds like typical upbeat Corrs, with the chorus of the song sounding like The Wallflowers- The Difference
Anyone elses thoughts?

I heard a live version of this song on the radio the other day on a small market radio station NO way! Where do you live? What kind of station is this? Sorry for the questions but I'm just curious as to why they've played the song since there's no word yet on the single's (or the album's) release Stateside. The studio version is available for download now (I'll post the link here in a little while) and the music sounds the same as the live version. As for the vocals, the live version is much better, imo, because Andrea's voice just sounds weird in the studio version. I'm glad to read that you think the song will be THE summer song of 2004. I'm a huge Corrs fan and even though I'm not too thrilled by this song and its obvious pop flavor, if this song becomes even bigger than "Breathless", maybe the band will finally have that elusive American success they've been clamoring for for years now. I think the song will do well because it's a great summer song and is very radio-friendly. The chorus is the key to success. It just grabs your attention and is so damn catchy.

You can download the studio version of the song here. Just right click and save as. I hope I don't get too much flack for posting this link in here.

It's okay. I don't think it's as good as "Breathless" though... and I don't think it will be a pop hit, but we'll see.

As for the song itself, I'll have to agree with Rebirth on this, it's quite good, but nothing special. I'm sure I'll grow to love it eventually though.

It's too generic and 'safe' sounding. This is why "In Blue" was a mediocre album.

I liked "In Blue." No one gives enough credit for the lesser heard songs on the album which include "Somebody For Someone," "At Your Side," and "No More Cry." The album debuted at a super-high #21 on Billboard! :)

I've listened to the song two times and I am bored with it. This is going nowhere on Hot AC or pop. I would be shocked if this even touched top 15 on Hot AC.

This song is really off to a great start getting +86 at only 16 stations. This looks like it will at least approach the Top 15, however, every week about two songs are finding themselves in slow moving Top 20. Should be interesting.

I have yet to hear this on my Hot AC station - WPLJ - in NYC. So far, the only station that's playing the song is WHUD and I think that's an AC station.

What I like about the song is that the chorus and the bridge are both very catchy... they've stayed with me for a few weeks now where each time I hear the song it still gets me hooked. I think the song has great potential to grow throughout the summer!

With WPLJ (New York) and KBIG (Los Angeles) now playing this song it will hopefully start to surge in station adds.
This song continues to hold great potential to build and build and build into the month of June.

I don't think so. The corrs has in the US the same problem as other artists like Robbie Williams. That's true to an extent. In Blue went platinum here. Has a Robbie Williams CD ever done that? I don't think so. At least the Corrs are making some kind of progress in being successful here. I'm a huge fan of both artists and I'd love it if Robbie were a bit more successful here but it just seems like the US is not keen on his type of music. His attitude has got to affect his success here too. He's just too cheeky for Americans, imo. He just comes off as being arrogant.
