This Christian favorite appears to be attempting a crossover like MercyMe.
Will they be able to ride the wave or is it currently low tide for crossovers?
Sincerely, Noah Eaton

This has a very good shot at crossing over. If promoted, it can be bigger than MercyMe airplay-wise.
For one, their lead singer Mac Powell has one of the best voices in music. Very raspy. Very soulful. It has a unique sound that could catch on.
Secondly, the song is not as preachy as most of today's Christian music. "I Believe" is clearly about God, but doesn't mention His name at all. Their new album is more in the vain of a Jars of Clay album that doesn't preach the whole way through, but lets the listener decide what the album is about.
Their CD "Wire" is outstanding. It was produced by Paul Ebersold who did 3 Doors Down's debut album. Its good solid old school pop-rock that could produce a few Hot Ac singles if given a chance. recomended songs: "Til the Day I Die", "Wire", "Its A Shame" & "Blind"

This isn't all that great on first listen. I liked "40 Days" from their previous album better.
Looks like a good week for Christian-to-Hot AC crossovers though, with Big Dismal and now Third Day making an effort.
