What is your opinion on the next few #1s? I think Maroon 5 can hold off 1 more week to make it what...10? Hoobastank and them then I think will change off after Hoob is #1 for a few weeks.
Do Lonely Boys have a shot? They are at #3, but 850 spins behind 2 and 1. Counting Crows is another 500 behind them at #4.
Do Nickelback, Switchfoot, or 3 doors down have a shot? I'm thinking top 5 for all, but not sure any of them will make it to #1.

I think Hoobastank may get a week or two like Train's "Calling All Angels" did during Matchbox Twenty's run with "Unwell". I also think Counting Crows may have a decent shot at going #1. The song has blazed up the charts in a short time and is testing well and is high on rate the music's chart.

I don't see Hoobastank at #1, I think it will lose spins like Maroon 5 is doing, And Maroon 5 will be at #1. And then Los Lonely Boys or Counting Crows

Even if Hoobastank doesn't go #1, to be #2 for many weeks nipping at #1's heels is just as good as 1 week at #1 and falling fast!!
But I do feel Counting Crows will go #1

Yeah, didn't nickelback spend like 10 or 11 weeks at #2 under smooth or the calling or something? Even if Hoobastank doesn't go #1, to be #2 for many weeks nipping at #1's heels is just as good as 1 week at #1 and falling fast!! But I do feel Counting Crows will go #1

Yeah, didn't nickelback spend like 10 or 11 weeks at #2 under smooth or the calling or something? Nickelback's "How You Remind Me" spent 17 weeks @ #2 behind The Calling's "Wherever You Will Go".

I feel Hoobastank will be at #1 a bit longer than two weeks. It should have a solid grip for at least five to six weeks.
I think Counting Crows will likely leapfrog Los Lonely Boys on the race to the next #1. "Accidentally In Love" is a young, fresh tune that is only beginning to crossover into CHR/Pop, while "Heaven" is fairly young as far as crossovers are concerned, though this is stale by Triple A standards. "Heaven" might have a shot at a #2 peak, though #3 is most likely in my mind.
After that, it's hard to say. I don't see "Away From The Sun" going there as it is very limited in its appeal right now.
Switchfoot will probably do what Nickelback did and finally make a smooth transition toward the top of the chart. But is it too old to go #1?
Sincerely, Noah Eaton
