The Triple A Indicator chart has MORE reporters than the actuan AAA chart itself!!! What's the point of having an Indicator chart for a format with only 22 reporters? If the charts combined, there'd be 46!

It wasn't created for the same reason as the CHR/Pop indicator chart -- they started the AAA one because the smaller market stations playlists were way different than the bigger market ones almost to the point of being a different format, so they felt it would be better to have two separate charts. For example, on the year-end AAA chart, "Big Yellow Taxi" was top 5 but on the year-end indicator AAA chart, it was all the way down to about #64!  |
