COOL POP @ 95.1
I live in the Central Valley, and up until about April Fools' Day, they were a HOT A/C station called PLANET 95.1, then on April Fools Day they did some fun stunting by playing songs with the word "POP" in the title..
Now, they are THE POP STATION @95.1.. They may not have updated their reporting status? or Citadel still considers them to be a Hot A/C?
It's a great station with a CHR style presentation, BUT they don't play alot of rap, especially during the day.. songs like 50 Cent, Eminem, and 50 Cent are dayparted and played only at night, AND when they play Usher's "Yeah", they play the version without the rap during the day.. I've also noticed that they are still spinning HOT A/C songs like Train's "Meet Virginia" .. So, if it is a CHR station, it's a conservative one.. I guess that's why the format is called "Cool Pop".. as opposed to "Hot A/C"..
