[red]Happy[/red] Independence [blue]Day[/blue][blue] 07/01/07 [/blue] #1: "Home" spends a fifth week at #1. Oldest Song: "U + Ur Hand" with 32 weeks on. Oldest Song below #15: "Cupid's Chokehold" with 18 weeks. Possibly Going to Recurrent: "It's Not Over" when the song falls below #15. Going to Recurrent: None next week. Biggest Mover: 3 notches is all it takes to be this week's biggest mover: "Hey There Delilah" (11-8), "Big Girls Don't Cry" (18-15), "Rehab" (24-21) Debuts: Pink has the highest debut at #32 with "Who Knew", her 8th Hot AC hit. Anchoring the chart at #40 is the other debut of the week, Collective Soul's "Hollywood". It's their 7th hit. Yes, Pink has more HAC hits than Collective Soul. :) Exiting the Survey: "Don't Matter", 10 weeks "The Kill", 15 weeks Other Notes: The top 5 remain the same as last week. "It's Not Over" exits the top 10 after 23 weeks there. The Goo Goo Dolls enter the top 20 this week. All their charting singles have made the top 20. "Extraordinary" returns to its peak of #25. Michael Buble's "Everything" moved 36-31 last week. This week it reverses the movement and falls back to #36. However, the song still has a bullet. Not a good week for last week's debuts (even though they are all still bulleted): "All at Once" (34-35), "Wait for You" (38-38), and "Umbrella" (39-39). Ouch! of the Week: "Other Side of the World" falls 6 to #26. AT40 celebrates its 37th anniversary this week. Thanks for the update! Nice to see AT40 celebrating thier 37th anniversary this week. I remember listening in 2005, the 35th anniversary, when Ryan Seacrest played a clip from the very first countdown show.
And I'm surprised to know that P!nk has more Hot AC hits than Collective Soul!! :o
Also, nice to see The Goo Goo Dolls go 13-for-13 with thier hits making the top 20. They're one of my favorite bands.

Exiting the Survey: "Other Side of the World", 14 weeks (falls off from #26!) Other Notes: "First Time" becomes Lifehouse's 3rd top 5 hit. Both their other top 5s went all the way to #1. "Rockstar" finally enters the top 10 after first making an appearance back in November. The song is Nickelback's 7th top 10, and the 5th top 10 from their latest cd. Kelly Clarkson exits the top 20 in only her 12th week on the chart. The title of the only debut this week, "When You're Gone" has been used a couple of times before on HAC: First was by the Cranberries back in 1997, and the second was by Richard Marx back in 2004. Even though "Other Side of the World" plummets out of the top 40 this week, the song still has the 18th highest Call Out score (according to Mediabase). Song with the biggest spin increase: "Big Girls Don't Cry" (over a 400 spin increase). Song with the biggest spin loss: "Little Wonders" (over a 200 spin loss). Thanks for the update! Awesome to see Nickelback break that record! It's a bummer how close Kelly Clarkson came without breaking it in 2006. I think Daughtry might make a run at that record, too. Great to Matchbox get back in after all this time!!

With Matchbox Twenty now in the top 20 along with Rob Thomas, this becomes the third time that a lead singer has been in the top 20 at the same time as his band: Chad Kroeger was in the top 20 with "Hero" at the same time as Nickelback's "How You Remind Me", and Alex Band did it on Santana's hit "Why Don't You & I" while the Calling was in with "Our Lives".
