[blue] 06/03/07 [/blue] #1: "Home" climbs to #1, giving Daughtry two #1s in a row. Oldest Song: "Chasing Cars" with 52 weeks on. Oldest Song below #15: "Colorful" with 21 weeks. Possibly Going to Recurrent: "Chasing Cars" will go recurrent when it falls below #15. Going to Recurrent: "Colorful" is eligible to go to recurrent, probably when it loses its bullet. "What Goes Around..." will be eligible to go recurrent next week as well. Biggest Mover: "Rockstar" climbs 5 notches to #27, becoming the biggest mover for a second week in a row. Debuts: Also for a second week in a row, there is only one debut. Fergie enters at #40 with her second solo chart entry, "Big Girls Don't Cry" at #40. Exiting the Survey: "Grace Kelly", 16 weeks Other Notes: "Home" reaches number one after moving 2 notches at a time through the top 10: 9-7-5-3-1. Maroon 5 rebound to #3. "Before He Cheats" reaches a new peak of #6, even though it moves up without a bullet. "Colorful" is left on the chart in its 21st week on. This is probably due to the fact that it had a "bullet" of +0. No songs enter or exit the top 20, making the 6/16 edition of AT20 a slow one. Ouch! alert: "Smile" slips from 31 to 37 this week. Snow Patrol can't seem to get a break, as their latest "Signal Fire" falls 35-39. Top 50 Hot AC chart can be found at: www.americasmusiccharts.com/index.cgi?fmt=A2 All chart data (C) Mediabase 24/7

Biggest Mover: "Hey There Delilah" leaps 7 notches to #17. Debuts: Newcomer Amy Winehouse enters at #32 with "Rehab" for the week's highest debut. Thanks for the update man!! How about Nickelback? I think they've got this record in the bag.
And Casey Kasem said "How to Save a Life" was in its 36th week last week? Was he mistaken?

Clarity? I think you've got the wrong John Mayer song... I think you mean Gravity.

Oops...sorry about the title mix-up I like Clarity much better, so that's probably mixed them up! :) I double-checked my records and still came up with 37 weeks for "How to Save..." in the top 10.

I am appalled that "Colorful" went recurrent, really. I wish that it could have charted a little bit better.

No, he has until tomorrow.
He did used to do it earlier, though.

This topic is current as the latest official chart is dated June 10 (per the www.mediabasemusic.com chart). I usually try to have the info published by the following Friday (the 15th in this case). This week I had the data published on June 12, which was quite early since I had to attend a funeral.

Here ya go...early again this week 'cause I don't want to keep my fans waiting... [blue] 06/17/07 [/blue] #1: "Home" spends a third week at #1. Oldest Song: "How to Save a Life" with 52 weeks on. Oldest Song below #15: "Colorful" with 22 weeks on. Possibly Going to Recurrent: "How to Save a Life" will go recurrent when it falls below #15. "Colorful" will go to recurrent whenever Mediabase feels like it. Going to Recurrent: None next week. Biggest Mover: "Big Girls Don't Cry (Personal)" leaps 11 notches to #23 for the week's biggest mover. Debuts: Fall Out Boy debuts at #38 with their 4th hit, "Thnks Fr Th Mmrs". This could also be the first title without any vowels to hit the top 40. :) "4 in the Morning" enters at #39, giving Gwen Stefani her 7th solo hit. Brandi Carlile anchors the chart at #40 with "The Story" Mediabase allows "Colorful" to re-enter the chart at #19 from recurrent. However, Mediabase acts like the song never left as the published chart gives it a "last week" position. Confusing? You bet. Exiting the Survey: "Chasing Cars", 53 weeks, to recurrent "Gravity", 20 weeks, to recurrent "Look After You", 20 weeks, to recurrent "Read My Mind", 18 weeks Other Notes: Pink earns her 1st top 5. "U + Ur Hand" reaches the top 5 at #5 in its 30th week on the chart. "Rockstar" jumps 5 to #17, giving Nickelback 5 top 20 hits from their latest cd. Fergie has 2 hits back-to-back. The aforementioned "Big Girls" at #23 and "Glamorous" at #24. Both songs are at their peak positions. "Before It's Too Late" sprints up 7 to #28. Justin Timberlake rebounds 6 to #31 in its 5th week on the chart. On their way out...: "The Kill" (27-33), "Don't Matter" (29-34), and "Life Is Beautiful" (30-35). ...early again this week 'cause I don't want to keep my fans waiting... Thanks! '"Colorful" will go to recurrent whenever Mediabase feels like it.' Pretty funny. "Rockstar" jumps 5 to #17, giving Nickelback 6 top 20 hits from their latest cd. I think you hit the wrong button. ;)

[blue] 06/24/07 [/blue] #1: "Home" spends a fourth week at #1. Oldest Song: "U + Ur Hand" with 31 weeks on. Oldest Song below #15: "Cupid's Chokehold" with 17 weeks. Possibly Going to Recurrent: None Soon as all eligible songs are still in the top 10. Going to Recurrent: None next week. Biggest Mover: "Before It's Too Late" jumps 6 notches to #22. Debuts: The highest debut belongs to the Fray at #34 with "All at Once", their 4th hit. American Idol alumnus Elliot Yamin enters at #38 with his first hit, "Wait for You". Current Hot 100 champ Rhianna gets her third HAC charting song this week as "Umbrella" comes in at #39. Exiting the Survey: (aka Recurrent Madness) "How to Save a Life" is removed prematurely this week after 52 weeks on the chart. The song would've still been above #15. After allowing Rocco Deluca's "Colorful" to re-enter last week, it is removed again to recurrent after 22 weeks on. "Life Is Beautiful" exits after 10 weeks on. Other Notes: In her 10th week on the chart, former? HAC favorite Kelly Clarkson continues to slide down through the teens, falling 15-16. Fergie jumps 5 notches to earn her first top 20 hit at #18 with "Big Girls Don't Cry". "What I've Done" becomes Linkin Park's biggest hit since "In the End" back in 2002 as the song moves up to #23. "Rehab" jumps 5 to number #24. Also jumping 5 notches this week: "Everything" 36-31, "When We Die" 37-32, and the vowel challenged "Thnks fr Th Mmrs" (38-33). Ouch! of the Week: "The Kill" falls 7 to #40. The song was just at its peak of #27 2 weeks ago. Thanks for the update! I still don't get the whole deal with "How to Save a Life". As much as I wanted that song to fall off, I don't agree with thier decision at all. The song deserved to be on the survey again. And I guess you could be right about Kelly Clarkson. 5 top 3s off of one album and now this.

The song deserved to be on the survey again. And I guess you could be right about Kelly Clarkson. 5 top 3s off of one album and now this. I've said this a few times already on this site. The way Mediabase has been handling their recurrents lately has been abysmal at best. And since when did Mediabase go to the 52 week, below top 10 rule that BDS uses? This is why I have far more faith in the Billboard charts lately. They don't make up the rules as they go along (outside of the recent exception with "Colorful" by Rocco Deluca & the Burden, which they left on a 21st week since the song was still close to a bullet). I think I will start following the Billboard charts instead.

So in 2 more weeks Nickelback will tie the record for most consecutive weeks in the top 10?

Nickelback will tie the record on the 7/15/07 chart, so yes, two weeks after today's chart.
