This is going to be huge hit - especially seeing how it's the most added, and has the greatest increase in spins this week. Already #23 in its 4th week.
It will definitely shatter the peak-performance of "Love & Memories", which was the Hot AC hit that gave the band the most attention.
I'm really liking "Shattered". It's a perfect pop-rock hit with a definite hook. Look for this to cross over to CHR, and possibly even AC too.

I just wanted to say that I think this song will be huge this Fall. It'll do to O.A.R. what 'The Reason' did for Hoobastank!

I'd love for it to be that big because it's one of my favorite songs right now...but Hot AC is picky and inconsistant. I thought for sure "Dig" by Incubus would be a huge hit but it peaked only at #17. Although it did linger around for a pretty long time lol

"Shattered" will definitely be top 10, although it might face some competition from Daughtry and a few others as it moves up the chart.

This will easily be Top 10 in two weeks, the only other song behind it is Colbie C. that will pass it, and three songs are falling out of the Top 10. I think once this hits Top 10 is when other stations will start putting it into high rotation, getting POP's attention as well.
They HAVE to re-shoot this video, it is arguably one of the worst video's I have ever seen, it really makes me sick, no kidding around, but maybe that's the intention?

^Yeah this is def. gonna be big on Hot AC...it's kinda growin on me I think more cause of the lyrics than the music (which IMO is kinda dull)
Still pretty skeptical about CHR though (except for those Cumulus stations that are already on it...seems like they're usin it to more to balance out their playlists though, just like they did with Little Wonders)

I loved this at first, but I'm slowly getting tired of it. It's currently #11 on my personal chart, could sneak into the top 10.

The beat is pretty basic but the piano lick is pretty catchy and really sticks out. The vocals are good too...he has pretty good range.

I like this song, but I've had a difficult time moving up to loving it. Usually songs like this click very well for me. I loved the upbeat and catchiness of "Love and Memories," but this sounds more along the lines of The Fray's "How To Save A Life," which got so old and tiring after hearing it for almost 2 years. Maybe that's why I can't get into this one.

Both songs even have subtitles, and both songs mention a car in their titles. How odd is that?

This song just keeps going and going. It's stuck in my head now and the Fray is exactly what I compare the song (definitely not the band) to.

I agree, this song reminds me of The Fray as well. OAR are way better than The Fray though.
I'm hoping that this becomes a Winter CHR hit.

So Ratethemusic.com is having a survey done on OAR, perhaps to decide on what to release for the next single. The songs were "This Town" and "One Day." I really liked them both. I voted for "This Town," but now I wish I went with "One Day"!

This stands a chance of going to #1, but I think P!nk will overtake anything else when "I'm Yours" by Jason Mraz starts to fizzle.

IMO Over My Head was way catchier...glad this is doin well (cause OAR's def. up for finally havin a big hit, esp. CHR crossover), but it doesn't do much for me for some reason - just seems kinda there, fillin a pop/rock gap, kinda like Howie Day did with Collide

You probably wouldn't like Pete Yorn or the Shout Out Louds then, they are two of my favorites for depressing simple, but good, music.

Yeah not much of a Pete Yorn fan either...he def. gets really high reviews by critics though - kinda feel bad about sayin Howie Day and O. A. R. are "filler" songs when it's really just a musical taste thing lol

Hey, I feel that way a little bit about 3 Doors Down, don't feel bad, it's your opinion, that's why we are here.

Songs that "fit" the station's sound and fill a gap in that style of music (i. e. pop/alternative) that the station needs, w/o gettin high callout (in other words, songs that no one minds listenin to, but that no one is hugely enthusiastic about) - i. e. I remember lots of stations sayin they were playin Change Your Mind by Sister Hazel to "balance out" the sound of their station at a time when pop/rock was needed Guess I thought this was a filler song at first cause Cumulus CHRs added it immediately (and exclusively), and no one seemed wildly enthusiastic about the song itself (at least at first when it came out) - but turns out it was just a musical taste thing

I tend to like the catchier, and/or more "melancholy" songs, even if they're just filling a void - which is why I really like "Shattered", and also "Collide" when it was released a few years ago. Then there are the songs that aren't as hookish & take a while to get used to - many past releases by Coldplay fit that category. But they often turn out to be some of my all-time favorites based on how long they last on the chart; whereas the instantly catchy stuff might rise faster to high chart positions, but doesn't last as long.
