So was "Blind" but that failed miserably :( Don't think "Blind" was too radio-friendly - IMO it was sort of sloppily put together, had whiney chorus, and muddled main idea to the song - it also IMO didn't have any of the "hit" production that "Broken" has I think the chorus was the best part because vocally it was pretty powerful and it was pretty catchy too. |

I heard this song for the first time a few days ago, and I approve. You could easily replace the vocal track with Bryan Adams' vocals, and they would fit just as well. With a loose interpretation of the lyrics, I wonder if this could impact Christian radio, too...

I wonder if this could impact Christian radio, too... i wouldnt doubt it, Christian radio is pretty good at picking up Lifehouse Songs. they were playing Take ME Away and Spin when no one else was. they frequently play Hanging by a moment, you and me, and Breathing. so i wouldnt be surprised if they started playting First Time and Broken. at least Air1 will... |

"First Time" really seems to be gaining a lot of strength with CHR - I'm beginning to think it might just be the beginning of a pretty long CHR chart run esp. b/c it doesn't seem to be burning at either CHR or HAC - anyhow, that'll put off any release date of "Broken" for quite a while IMO |

Unfortunately, I haven't heard "Broken" on the radio yet, but I imagine that it will be cut down into a single edit when it finally goes for adds. Most stations around here are still high on First Time. Since Dodge is incorporating the song into their commercials, it won't be going away anytime soon. Overall, the CD is pretty solid. "The Joke" shows that they've been listening to Fall Out Boy  |

I actually have a feeling that a lot of people are going to say "The Joke," and although that song seems to be a popular fan favorite, I can't imagine hearing it on the radio. I think "Broken" is a single for Lifehouse fans only because its a song that really defines then and don't really see it as radio friendly. I think they will definitely take a chance on Broken, it is very radio-friendly, perfect time of year for a ballad. I'd be really surprised if they don't send this one out. I think it's a guaranteed multi-format Top 5 hit.

I think it's gonna be bigger than "First Time" on CHR Pop - thinkin' in the Top 15...but since John Mayer can't even break the Top 10 on the CHR chart b/c of rhythmic/pop CHRs then Lifehouse will prob. have trouble I also think it's gonna be bigger than "First Time" on HAC |
