Just got this info from the INXS website:
Sony Music to service 2 singles from Original Sin to radio week of October 18th, 2010.
“The Stairs” featuring JD Fortune to Rock Radio and “Original Sin” featuring Rob Thomas to CHR/Hot AC Radio
Shouldn't be long for the US releases :)

Interesting. So is JD the permanent lead singer of the band again or what? I remember reading something saying they fired him and he was back living on the streets.
"Original Sin" with Rob Thomas should be great.
EDIT: Just heard from the link above. I spoke too soon. I hate it!

Wow! I finally got something right. I said the same thing in the Photograph post last night. Can't wait to hear it. If I have one complaint about the Rob/Santana song it's that Rob's vocals are too far down in the mix. I hope they are more upfront on this song.

Well, that site wants me to add "add-ons" before I can listen. I guess I'll just wait. Not encouraged by Killer Hook's review but then again my taste isn't exactly like his.

Wow, I was not expecting that. After several listens, I think it's great. I wonder if there will be an edit for medium sized HotAC markets without the Spanish segments. I don't mind the part at the beginning but the one halfway through the song really takes away from Rob's great vocals. His vocals end at 2:10 for the most part in a song that's 4:22 in length. Anyway, I LOVE Rob's vocals here and I LOVE the beat. This could be a smash or totally bomb. No real quess at this point but I will say that this is the type of thing that separates Rob from his HotAC male counterparts. Rob takes risks. Lonely No More was a risk. He's trying not to get stale. Fifteen years and still going very strong on this format. He is doing something right. Now, if some large market CHR stations could show this some love the song might have a future. I wonder if there will be a music video. The girl singing with him is from Cuba. Here's an article on the album and the track listing. John Mayer is also on it. www.inxs.com/newsdetail.aspx?id=43

If this is an INXS song, shouldn't the title include their name?

"Original Sin" is one of my favorite INXS songs (and I don't really think they have a bad one). That said, I don't think it was meant for Rob Thomas.

Wow. Holy sh**. This is such a mutilation of the original, especially considering it's them again. At least it's not a karaoke redo like Ben Harper/NTUA, but... That being said, I can see this growing on me...

The original was way better than this.
