This week's chart sees Kings Of Leon holding down the number one spot for the fourth week in a row. Michael Franti & Spearhead enter the top 10 with "Say Hey (I Love You)". And as usual, a new Rob Thomas hit means that he scores the week's biggest move with "Someday".

Yeah, I'd say at least ten, if not more.

That could easily make it hands down the #1 song of the year in the format. The only other songs that I think could challenge "Use Somebody" are "You Found Me" and perhaps "Second Chance".

"You Found Me" had two or three runs at #1 totalling at least 10 weeks or more. "Second Chance" was at #1 for 8 weeks.

Right now, "Use Somebody" is sitting lonely at the top and will continue to do so for a while. Very few songs in the Top 5 or Top 10 in position to take it down anytime soon, although "Fallin' For You" has slowly been picking up and will reach Top 3 this week.

"Second Chance" has had a relatively quick run, whereas "Use Somebody" probably came out too late to have a reasonable chance at #1. But I bet the latter two will be in the top five.

Yeah, you hit it right on the head. The songs that have the best chance at finishing at the top of the chart are the ones that have been around for most of the year since most of the official charts use airplay data from November of the previous year.

Rick on the other hand compiles the chart the way he wants, so it would not be a big surprise to see "Second Chance" or another song topping the chart. Heck, even "I'm Yours" might have an outside shot at finishing at the top since it did peak late in 2008 and spent 61 weeks on Rick's chart, only dropping off this past July. Not likely but a top 5 finish may be very possible.
