Given the recent trend of CHR tracks to make an impact on Hot AC, I don't think it will be long now before we see this song appear in the Top 50 - this is probably a few spins away from doing that.
Anybody willing to guess where this will peak on Hot AC?

Hopefully, at 45 - 50. I really don't like this song.
Realisticly, around 30.

I think this will get into the #30s at least, probably top 30 at most.

You gotta be kidding me! This song has no business anywhere near Hot AC! Any so called "Hot AC" station playing this should immediately be moved to the CHR panel. Hopefully this will peak somewhere below the top 50.

And here it is:
54 49 PITBULL I Know You Want Me(C... 140 110 30 0.725
Again, this is probably coming from several misplaced stations in the format, so it's too early to tell how far this one will go.
Unless this peaks in the same rank as songs like "Poker Face" and "Let It Rock", consider this another successful pop crossover, with more of the actual Hot AC stations having this in rotation.

UGGHHH!!! >:( I'm all for pop crossover songs making the Hot AC chart, but this is NOT one of them!

it sounds a little like some Disco songs from the 70's which could be its appeal here.

it sounds a little like some Disco songs from the 70's which could be its appeal here. That's because the horn part is taken from Chicago's "Street Player" which was from the ill fated Chicago XIII which came out in 1979 and was heavily disco influenced. The song is now a cult fave partly because of its re-emergence in the 90's dance hit "The Bomb" by The Bucketheads. This song is more of a faithful following to "75, Brazil Street" but the origination of the horns still come from that song. (Street Player was co-written by Chicago's drummer but was actually recorded a year earlier by Rufus) Still this song has ZERO Hot AC flavor.

I'm sorry, but I don't think this belongs at HAC. The song is being played on stations that don't really fit the format. At least 2 of the stations playing it play their #1 songs near or more than 80 times a week as well as play other songs that do not fit the format. Take out those 2 stations alone and the song would not be in the top 40.

I don't mind Beyonce, Rihanna or certain Black Eyed Peas songs making a big run on the Hot AC chart (though I was not a fan of "Boom Boom Pow" almost making the HAC top 20), but harder core hip-hop songs have no business on the Hot AC chart, period. I think it's time for a panel "purge" to get rid of a few of these stations that have no business reporting here!

I like the song personally, but it doesn't belong on hot AC.

While it was nice to see this make the top 50 on Hot AC, I also agree with most posters on this board that it's not a Hot AC track. On that note, this song has already peaked and appears to be winding down its short run.

I know I'm comparing apples with oranges, but WNUA Chicago is classified as Spanish hot AC and they play this song. Maybe Spanish hot AC is different from the English-language version?
