Rick Dees Hot AC #1 Hits of the Decade Special

Well Rick has posted his annual summer #1 Hits of the Decade special which has been shuffled around quite a bit from last year, with some new recent songs added. As usual there is no rhyme or reason to the order of the songs! But it does seem to lean more recent and CHR leaning. He has a "top 48" chart (don't ask me why he chose that number), and I don't know yet if there is a second part that will air next week or not. Let's say there is a 50/50 chance that will occur.

Just an observation or two from Rick's show this week. He did not assign rankings to any of the songs he played except for the final one from Cee-Lo Green. However, the website did assign these numbers to the songs, so either they were just randomly placed or this was some actual chart.

He said this "chart" was an "algorithm" of a combination of number one songs, listener requests, sales and downloads, all fed into the "fastest computer in the world" to come up with songs used in his show.

Yup. Sounds like a dartboard chart to me!
