1 Hot AC add this week. This actually really fits in with both AC and Hot AC radio.

Hm. And I'm just starting to get into this song, being a non-country fan. Good timing if pushed.

I agree that this is arguably his most mainstream-accessible release to date. It really sounds to me like something Dire Straits could have released at the height of their career, or even something that wouldn't have felt out of place on Bruce Springsteen's "Tunnel of Love" in the mid-eighties.
That said, despite the anthemic, soaring arena-ready feel to this track............lyrically I feel it's way too dark to resonate widely. It's really quite a nihilistic song when you get down to the mood of it, like the "I hate my life, hold on to me!" line in the pre-chorus and the sense of illusion and darker kind of wistfulness that plagues the narrator from beginning to end.
I think it'll at least scrape the format like Zac Brown Band's "Free" did, but nothing more than that.

Speaking of "Free," I still can't believe that it wasn't a big hit over here. I love that song.
I like this song more than the average Kenny Chesney single, but I doubt that it'll do much.
