Well it's only Kiss confirmed so far. That's only one station, and who knows if it's just Friday or all weekend, etc.

Part of me doesn't want a CC deal, because I know how 90% of people will react come the dreaded 8th day effect.
But of course the other part of me is craving for a top 25/top 20 placement after a few days heh.

Just one station saying hourly isn't enough confirmation, which is why I expressed my initial doubts. Have they mentioned how long? Just Friday, or through Saturday? Sunday? |

We've seen alot of songs backfire from the CC deals with "Give Me All Your Lovin" and "You Da One" the biggest examples. But I don't think that will happen here. As long as the iTunes sales are strong, radio should embrace this one with open arms.

The Clear Channel deals aren't bad for a song at all. It's just those two songs were not very good and the public didn't like them, plus We Found Love was still huge which worked against You da One.

Get Real! Everybody is going to play the track!
Artists have learned 1 day is enough.
No one has done the 7 day thing for awhile.
Acts have learned that at the end of the 8th day and spins starts to go negative that confuses programmers.
So Artist just do 1 day which is enough to spark Itune sales and be Most Added the following week!

The HQ Demo is indeed the final version. The edited version changes it to "Love Your Body" as confirmed by those single covers months ago that leaked.

It was played on Capital FM in the UK not long ago. If Capital are on board it means it'll likely be a decent-sized hit for Xtina :)

Shocking! Not necessarily a bad thing either, this was one track that was better left alone. It's primed to be the biggest hit she's had since the beginning of her career, sort of like what 'Womanizer' was after Blackout, what with the timing of the debut, the forthcoming promo, the CC Deal, The Voice -- everything is lined up perfectly. If this isn't a hit, she'll never have another one. |
