This song is just so good. It came on during my photography class today while I was listening to my iPod with my amazing earbuds in. The production on it is stellar. I really hate that this is flopping.

Spin-wise, today's update (+27) is the best update we've had since October 13th's update (+55) ! Excluding the panel change update, of course. Too bad the audience update was horrible.

If this isn't a hit then nothing will work for her. So many people have said this like this is the best Christina is capable of. She can release a MUCH better song than this and this isn't her last opportunity for a hit. She has made a big enough name for herself to continue receiving attention and have a successful comeback on the charts whether it's later during this era or the next or it might never even happen. But I wouldn't predict the potential of the rest of her career based off this one song. |

Many artists still bounce back after several flops in a row. Mariah, Pink, J.Lo, and Enrique did it. So can Christina. |

I don't know if it's that or that the general public is not even aware that Bionic ever existed.  I think more people know that she had a Greatest Hits album rather an album of new material in the case of Bionic. It went completely out of the radar cause it's not like she had a huge hit with that album but somehow the album sold little. I wonder what her next single will sound like. I bet it'll be a ballad. |

I don't think Christina has released an undeniable hit in many years. This is good, but so generic that it is easily overlooked. They needed to hustle to build it into a hit and get it noticed, but instead they did absolutely nothing for it. I feel like Your Body could have been a MKIA type situation (or similar) but needed that promotional run to boost it.
I am a bit confused about what they will do for promo. Like, perform a peaked, flopped single? Or perform a second single that hasn't been released yet?

Yeah Blank Page will surely be beautiful (no pun intended), but it won't be single material from the sounds of the demo.
I really am scared they're gonna release a ballad. I keep thinking of the quote Christina said that she's going to be showing of "a different side of the album" when she performs at the AMA's, which makes me think ballad. And usually if she performs a song it's a single so.
