Rush release Let There Be Love, Army of Me or Cease Fire next, there's potential for big hits here.

If they put out a ballad next, she's done. That Army of Me song seems to be her only choice. The snippet sounded good and she needs an anthem-like song that isn't about sex.

It doesn't happen often that a second single outperforms the first with acts who have been around for a while- she had that with "Dirrty"/"Beautiful," but it's not likely that we'll see that kind of performance difference between the first and second singles here.
Another top 40 entry on the Hot 100 may be the best one can expect. The album is out in a week and a half, so if there's no pre-album releases, it will be tough to score big sales weeks for tracks. And airplay looks a challenge, as well.

Toxic, Piece of Me, Circus and Till The World Ends have outperformed or at least matched the success of the lead single of their perspective album. It's been a while since she released a 'commercial' ballad so I say go for it. The 'electro' tracks haven't done her any good that's for sure.

It's a shame this didn't perform better, because it sincerely deserved to go #1. It's a great track and better than what's currently on top. Well, until radio and DJ's stop with their vendetta against Christina, I don't think any of her material is going to perform better, here.

Chalis, that depends on what you're talking about. "Toxic" did outpeak its predecessor on all counts, but "Piece of Me" peaked lower on both the Hot 100 and Hot 100 Airplay (it had better longevity than 'Gimme More," though). "Circus" peaked lower than "Womanizer" on the Hot 100, and "Till the World Ends" peaked lower than "Hold it Against Me" on the Hot 100.

There's also Kelly Clarkson with WDKY(S) from just earlier this year. It's no an uncommon thing at all.

^A followup to a track that hit the top 10. Like I said, perhaps Aguilera will see another top 40, that peaks higher than YB. But the chances of seeing a big smash single? Probably not.

I've got it on good authority (a friend that works at RCA) that Let There Be Love will be the next single. He also said the dirty version of YB will be on the album. :o He told me about Kelly's greatest hits before it was announced, and he also said it would have 3 new songs, so I mean, his info has been 100% right so far.

the song she has with Pitbull sounds to me like she has a hit.. So this era is not over just yet, it seems she has a few tricks up her sleave. Pitbull will perfom at the Amas, it would be cool if he performed ' feel this moment' with Christina; however no words if that song is going to be a single of his new album....

The Hot 100 peak is irrelevant when comparing Brit's hits cause most of her singles don't peak at the same on airplay and sales. POM sold more and went recurrent on pop radio depsite peaking 11 spots lower than GM, Circus had better longevity and the sales difference between it and Wmnzr is about 200k despite it having less hype and TTWE only peaked 2 spots lower than HIAM and outperformed it by far on both sales and airplay.

Let There Be Love sounds incredibly generic though. It's such an Usher track. But I guess it's something "new" for her. Meh.
She wanted it to be the first single anyway instead of Your Body.

I remember when she performed Lift Me Up at Hope for Haiti Now, and everyone was saying how much of a bitch she was for promoting one of her new songs at an event like that. I hope she performs another new song tonight, just to piss off all the haters again.

Just an interview from what I've heard. Even Mariah did more to promote her non single triumphant. Maybe label wants to let this one go away and start fresh with a new 1st single

Thank GOD. Really thought they were going to go with a ballad again. Great news. Don't shoot the messenger if he was wrong or they change their minds, but he's seemed pretty legit with his info in the past...and he's a friend in real-life, not a Twitter or blog person, so we'll see how it plays out. He also told me he'd be able to give me a copy very soon, which I really hope happens!

How is "Triumphant" a "non-singe"? It went for radio play and had a video. Same with YB- Mimi just had a single performance of it (to date). No matter the lack of performances, Aguilera's still on a weekly program that gets top ratings. And the video was previewed on it.
I honestly don't think it would have made much difference if she performed YB once or twice. I don't know if the general audience sees her as a great performer (the voice is something different- and YB's not really a track to leave people in awe of her voice).

Yeah but it's already confirmed that Your Body explicit WON'T be on the album, so that's incorrect. Not saying you don't have a friend who works there so cuz I saw you did post about Kelly's GH. LTBL sounds hot but it does sound like a few other songs so I don't really know how it'll do if released. I kinda doubt it will be though lol Xtina's team always goes for the ballad. Even though the ballads sound very amazing I would go for LTBL and hope radio would eat it up. :'(

The explict version is so much better, I hope it at least leaks in 320 kps.

Yeah but it's already confirmed that Your Body explicit WON'T be on the album Still upset about this. :'( It's so odd that they have that version but won't put that on the album. There's another song on the album that has explicit lyrics and there will be an explicit and censored edition of the album. At DJRicoMixshow, some were pointing out how all of the official club remixes used the "Love Your Body" vocals. Only that Country Crew Martini mix has the "F*** Your Body" vocals. I wonder if them excluding that version of the album has to do with certain stores not carrying it if it has the sticker on it. ??? A couple of years ago, Keri Hilson's song "The Way You Love Me" had a dirty version which leaked out, but only the censored version was released for both physical and digital releases, possibly for that reason. And we saw what happened with the censored version of The Fame Monster being the only one you could get physically. It's so weird.

Fantastic.
This song deserve a lot better. This must be at least a top 10 hit (but it seems there's no chance of that)
